I'm still not 100% positive I am getting this. The starters will most likely be the sink or swim factor for me.

    Black, White... Rainbow?
Well, when they patented the names Pokemon Black and White, they also did Grey (of course), Crimson, and Scarlet, probably because they weren't exactly sure as to what they wanted to name the 3rd one, and this would reserve possibilities.

Personally I hope they choose Scarlet. Pokemon Scarlet is such a nice-sounding name. I'd be fine with either Crimson or Grey, though. Actually, they could name it anything they want, if they so decide. They could always register a new name and use it instead.

For those who were talking about Light/Dark types...

Technically, that's in Pokemon already. I was talking with some people at the anime club and according to them, Dark is bad obviously and Fighting (samurai's and stuff) are good. Hence the reason fighting is super effective on Dark.

Not all Fighting types are good. In fact, most of them have anger issues. When it comes down to light and dark, usually they let Psychic take the place of light. Just look as espeon and umbreon, which is the best example I can come up with.

    Cresselia and Darkrai.

But yes, I'm not so sure I agree with the Fighting/Light, thoughit is an interesting theory. Bug is also super effective to Dark in a way that seemingly doesn't make sense, so who knows.

I always thought Psychic was good, and Dark was bad. Ah, whatever, there technically is no real "light" Pokemon. Well, technically there is no "good" or "evil" Pokemon, either. Unless you make them evil obviously.

Though I do think they should add more types. Light would be cool, as well as Wood.

Sorry, I meant according Japanese beliefs or whatever...but yes, in any case, more types would make sense. Although, I see wood being dangerously close to leaf.

Nah, wood would be a type combination rock and leaf.

It would be super effective against Grass, Rock, and Ground. (roots grow through grass, ground, and rock)

It would be weak against Fire, Electric, and Bug. (fire obviously, trees attracts lightning, and bugs eat trees).

It would be unaffected by Water. (trees grow from water)

PMD2/3 had a couple truly evil Pokemon in it (one of the many reasons I prefer the spin-offs, particularly PMD2/3 - real, truly evil and threatening powers).

Anyway, I've been trying to come up with a new type idea for years, but never to any avail. But looking at the Pokemon, Psychic is a very vague type, in terms of appearance of the Pokemon having that type. You have Psychics that are rocks, fish, plants, dragons, etc., etc. I think another type should be created and replace Psychic on some Pokemon. Maybe a Cosmic type? You'd have Deoxys, Claydol, Jirachi, Lunatone, Solrock, and Cresselia, to name a few. What I mean is to replace Psychic with the new one on those Pokemon that fit the new type, not on all Psychics.

And of course it would be an added type to old Pokemon as well. If it were Cosmic, then Clefairy and Clefable would certainly have it.

Wood would just fall under the catagory of grass. Any Pokemon with wood on it would already be grass anyway. Grass is the catch all catagory for anything plant related.

I would like to see another type, but I have no idea what I would like to see... There has always been talk about a wind type, seeing as Flying type really has nothing to do with actural wind attacks.

They have clear versions of those screenshots now.

    http://pokebeach.com/2010/04/clearer-game-screenshots-of-pokemon-black-and-white

They look so much better now. The only weirdness is the fact that the sprites stand out very much in the 3D world. I suppose I'll get used to it. Even so, this is still an early-ish version of the game, so who knows what they'll do before it's all over.

I am still loving the city screenshots :D

City look's cool, but I hope you can have your pokemon follow you like in SoulSilver or HeartGold.

Or maybe the option to, as some gamers may not like it.

I'm still digging the style so far.

    BLACK AND WHITE IN ACTION

It's just the city, but still, it shows off the 3D and how it works well. It looks so good :>

And try your best to ignore the weirdness of Pokemon Sunday...
