I kinda want to figure out how exactly much did I spend on bought games. While most of my Gamecube games have forgotten prices, my PC game "collection" can be easily tracked down for their prices. Point of the thread is to see how much we spent on video games, as well as keeping track of your game collection simultaneously. Guidelines 1. Don't add console prices. Strictly video games. 2. However, video games bundled with peripherals (Guitar Hero, DJ Hero, Tuba Hero) can be counted towards your "total" 3. List the price to which you bought the game, not the retail price. Game discounts and such apply 4. For PC, downloaded games (Steam or otherwise) ARE allowed to be included 5. If you want to add XBL/Wii Ware/PSN games, go ahead. Maybe a special section for them. 6. Round it to the nearest dollar. Also, fack taxes and stuff. 7. Wii PLAY IS NOT A VIDEO GAME AND THEREFORE IS NOT ALLOWED IN THE LIST. 8. Don't add "yarr'd" games in here, or games received as "gifts" from other people. List games that YOU yourself bought, or asked to buy with your money or whatnots. 9. I guess you can include game accessories. NOT the consoles, but like Guitar Hero controllers, Wii-motes (that are not included with the console), etc. PC Games $10 Street Fighter IV $10 Starcraft -Starcraft Brood War $9 Warcraft III (CD Key) $7 Warcraft III:Frozen Throne (CD Key) $10 Project Snowblind $5 Enemy Territory:Quake Wars $5 The Sims 2 Deluxe -The Sims 2 -The Sims 2:Nightlife $10 Battlefield 1942 Collection -Battlefield 1942 -Battlefield 1942:Road to Rome -Battlefield 1942:Secret Weapons of WWII -Battlefield Vietnam $30 Guild Wars (Prophecies) $5 STALKER:Shadow of the Chrenobyl $10 Unreal Tournament 3 $9 Soldat "Pro-version" registration $21 Call of Duty 4:Modern Warfare $5 Titan Quest Gold -Titan Quest -Titan Quest: Immortal Throne $5 Company of Heroes Gold -Company of Heroes -Company of Heroes:Opposing Fronts $2 Overlord $3 Overlord:Raising Hell Valve $40 Left 4 Dead $15 Counter-Strike Complete -Counter-Strike:Source -Counter-Strike 1.6 -Counter-Strike:Condition Zero/Deleted Scenes -Deathmatch Classic -Ricochet -Day of Defeat 1.3 $25 The Orange Box -Half-Life 2 -Half-Life 2 Episode 1 -Half-Life 2 Episode 2 -Team Fortress 2 -Portal 98 cents/$1 Half-Life 1 $1 Half-Life:Blue Shift $1 Half-Life:Opposing Forces $10 Day of Defeat:Source $0 Half-Life 2:Deathmatch $5 Far Cry 2 Indie Games $1 World of Goo $5 Defense Grid:The Awakening $5 Audiosurf $5 Mount & Blade $3 Peggle Deluxe $1 Bullet Candy $2.50 (bah, round it to $3?) Eets $5 Ben Dere, Dan That! and Time Gentlemen, Please! $25 Indie Games Pack Volume 2 -Crayon Physics Deluxe -Acceleration of Suguri -Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa! Reckless Disregard of Gravity -Alpha Prime -Aquaria -I-Fluid -And Yet It Moves Overall: $305 on PC games. Street Fighter IV Arcade Fightstick Tournament Edition $100 Gamecube Wavebird Controllers $30 Ding! I reached the $300 mark. I will now weep for the amount of money I've wasted. I'm so glad I didn't buy that game. Anywho, This might take a while for me, if I even get around to it. Of course, only s_D would think of something like this. |

Far more than I want to admit to, probably. Just looking at Guitar Hero alone - I bought it on PS2 with a guitar controller first, that was probably at least £60 - then I bought it on the 360 with a guitar too - another £60-70 - then Guitar Hero 3 came along and I got the game and guitar with that. World Tour I got the game separately but in the end decided I wanted all the band package, which came to around £160. Bought Smash Hits for £25 and I've bought a fair few songs on DLC. So we're looking around £250-£300 just on Guitar Hero there. Not to mention all the Mega Drive games I got brand new, N64, Gamecube, PS1, PS2, Wii, 360, Xbox and a few on PC too. Oh - and handhelds, GameBoy, GBA, DS, Game Gear. I wouldn't be surprised if we're talking thousands..... |

I sometimes buy games here at México, so I pay in mexican currency. If some friend happens to go to the US and get some games for me, I pay in US currency. I´m planning to put everything in US dollars. I am telling this because prices vary A LOT in here, you can get real bargains at some times, but horrible rip offs at others. It will take me some time to check and include all the games and its prices, I´ll do it later and add a total for them. This is what I´ve been buying from 2008 to this day. Wii $20 Star Wars Lego: The complete saga $62 Mario Galaxy $58 Zelda: TP $47 Mario Kart Wii $20 Mortal Kombat Armaggedon $12 Prince of Persia: RS $50 Guilty Gear XX A Core Plus $16 Nights: JoD $35 Wario Land: Shake it $18 Castle of Shikigami 3 $50 Castlevania: Judgement $99 Wii Fit $50 Wii Sports Resort $38 Metroid Prime 3 $50 Muramasa: DB $50 DeadSpace: Extraction $47 SSB: Brawl $31 Zack & Wiki: ToB $50 Punch Out $20 RE4: WE $39 Super Paper Mario $5 WiiPlay (MUAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA... Just counting the game, didn´t buy it alone though) $16 Paper Mario: TTYD $16 SNK VS Capcom 2 $16 Harvest Moon Wiiware $8 Lit $8 Dr Mario RX $12 World of Goo VC Mario RPG Paper Mario LoZ: OoT LoZ: MM Punch Out Super Punch Out DS $31 Castlevania: OoE $31 Wario: MoD $25 Super Mario 64 DS $20 Kirby Squeak Squad $19 Brain Age $31 Mario Kart DS $16 Resident Evil: DS PC (I´m really not very much into it since I left Ragnarok Online) $20 Plants VS Zombies Total (So far): $1,136 USD ~ $ 14,867.40 MXN (at 13.0875 Pesos each dolar) O_o Oh well, it could be worse. (And Still to be continued...) Edited by Akaro, Nov 18 2009, 11:42 AM.

I think over the past few years it's pretty much levelled out to a maximum of £100 ($166.75) per year. I'm just not that interested in gaming anymore, and most of my purchases are dirt-cheap PC classics. |

Holy Jesus Yacht. Holy Jesus LK. Also, updated rules. I guess I forgot to mention to not include gifts/pirated games. If so, my list would effectively double

Oh, I know I passed the thousand mark already. I'm still too lazy to actually list and price my stuff. And Yacht, how do you remember how much you spent on SNES games? I can't even remember that far. |

The suggested retail price! And you've got to remember there weren't Gamestops in every strip mall back then, if you wanted to get cheap games you'd have to find them at a garage sale, flee market, or a book store. My fondest memory of blowing $70 on an SNES game was when I bought Mighty Morphin Power Rangers and within 2 hours my brother and I beat it. Talk about gay. PS. My family are receipt fiends, we save everything. Edited by Yacht, Nov 14 2009, 12:07 AM.

I'll list my PS3 games ( I only got my new PS3 slim recently so I don't have that many games )MotorStorm Pacific Rift - £20 BioShock -£20 CoD5 - £30 Assassin's Creed - £20 Dead Space - £12 Fallout 3 - £20 Uncharted Drake's Fortune - £20 That seems really cheap when I look at it now. I have at least 180 wii games on my hard drive. I don't have my classic console games with me at the moment so I can't tell you the price of them. |
