Someone already started a thread similar to this. Check that one out. Other than that, I would say that you should get it, three games, collectable case, and Wii controls for all 3 is a big plus if you have never played them before. Edited by 55K, Nov 8 2009, 10:45 PM.

Oh, definitely. If don't own the 3D Metroid games, definitely go out and get Trilogy. Such an amazing package. On the 2D front, I suggest Zero Mission. |

Yes, get the Trilogy. You won't regret it. They're each awesome games and just the tin case and the collectible story booklet in itself is worth it. I also got it with a t shirt (which I'm wearing right now) and a poster for pre-ordering, so I'm even more satisfied with my purchase. |

I just made up my mind, I will sell my 3 Metroid games and buy the Trilogy for this Christmas. I played the games at the house of a friend. I tried the GC versions after and felt a huge difference. As a plus, I haven´t finished them completely and I barely got to play the third one. "How can this be?" you may ask. Well, I can´t play as much as I would want to and I have 18+ pending games for Wii and DS. |

Best collection of games you will buy. Out of this decade of games have been released in the 2000-09, the Metroid Prime series is at the top of my list. With the added Wii controls (Which are some of the best I've seen on any game on the wii) makes it so much more enjoyable. I'm every glad that retro was kind enought to not only remake the game for the Wii but took the time to add the controls. Some of the reasons why I enjoy it is the story is there, but you have to seek it out. If you don't look for it, you could easily miss the whole plot (especially in Prime 1). The game is very open, and you'll be traveling around the landscapes enough to become familiar with it (with quite of bit of back tracking). The enemies are fun to kill, ranging from frustrating to just awesome. The first play through on each of the games can last about 10-20 hours per game (depending on how fast you can figure out the puzzles, and collecting key items). So for $50, your getting a great deal and an awesome series. I would of bought it this year, but I'm lacking a tv out here in the college. However, I defiantly pick up for my birthday next year along with Other M (if it comes out). |

I've only ever played Metroid and Super Metroid. I thought Super Metroid was an amazing game. Infact, it's one of the best SNES games, I think. I kinda sucked at Metroid, though. I don't know whether I'd like the newer ones or not. I hear their first person shooter games? I'm not too keen on them, but I might give them a go anyway... |
