I want to get MPT, but I'm not sure if it's worth it. I already have all 3 Metroid Prime games, so are the new features enough to spend $50 on?

I guess it depends. The box itself is pretty cool, along with the neat little art book and the ace looking disc.

As far as Software goes, the games themselves have been altered slightly and updated, so you'll get Wii remote controls on all 3 games, and altered difficulty on MP2.

Other updates include shorter load times, upgraded textures, altered visual effects, and 16:9 widescreen capabilities. However, the HUD is always displayed at the original aspect ratio, leading it to be stretched horizontally while in widescreen mode. Additionally, the award system from Prime 3 was incorporated into the first two games. Players earn tokens by accomplishing certain tasks, allowing them to unlock in-game items such as artwork, music, and other features. In response to complaints about Prime 2's high difficulty during some of the boss battles, the difficulty of those encounters was lowered.

It's not a necessity, but it's an awesome buy.

It is more than worthy if you don´t have them.

It´s weird when you wish you haven´t bought 3 fantastic games...

I played Echos and Corruption but never the first one. Maybe I'll get it when they drop the price. Although, Nintendo is being really greedy lately and not dropping prices on half of their games...

I've only played the first one on gamecube so I wouldn't really know.
The new controls interest me though.

If you have every single one of them already, then I'd say no.

Are you being serious? In all honesty, I think it would be all right if Nintendo never dropped the price on Metroid Prime Trilogy. To me that is like degrading the quality of 3 full-length games on 1 disc. You really think that 3 first-person shooters, with everything from multiplayer to purchasable artwork and soundtracks included, should be less than $49.99? It's even in a tin case and comes with a collectible story booklet. It would be truly ridiculous to pick something like this up for, say, 25 bucks.

And on the contrary, Nintendo is the only company I know of that actually does give good deals concerning the prices of their games. I got The Wind Waker, a quality Zelda game and my favorite, free-of-charge packed with my GameCube. Same goes for Phantom Hourglass with my Triforce DS Lite. On the other hand, it's games like Modern Warfare 2 that cost an outrageous $60 on the PC, when that extra $10 normally goes to Sony and Microsoft because the game is on their consoles instead of your own computer. And a game like Phantom Hourglass has quite a bit of quality to be for free, including replay value and free Wi-Fi Multiplayer.

Like I stated before, I have the last two and not the first and I see it as a waste to spend $50 on two games I already own. I understand that it comes with a bunch of extras, but for someone like me, I would spend maybe $40 on it, definitely not $50. Yes, for others it's an extremely good deal and I suggest they take advantage of it.

I also own all three games. It didn't stop me from buying the MPT, though. It really is a different experience playing the first two games with Wii control, although, it could have been a bit more challening, in my opinion. They were a breeze, even on the hardest difficulty.
