For under $500. $498.94 to be exact, including shipping.

    Motherboard: GIGABYTE GA-MA790GPT-UD3H
CPU: AMD Athlon II X2 Regor 250 3.0GHz
Video Card: XFX GeForce 9500 GT 1GB DDR2
    RAM: G.SKILL 2GB DDR3 SDRAM 1066
    Optical Drive: LITE-ON SATA iHAS124-04
Case & HDD Combo: Cooler Master CM 690 & Western Digital Caviar Black 640GB
Power Supply: Cooler Master Extreme Power Plus 460W

Everything in this thing should be upgradable for the next 5 years or so, assuming AMD stays with the AM3 socket. Seeing as I haven't a job of any sort, it might take a while to gather up $500, but it'll be worth it. Just take a look at my current specs below...

CPU: AMD Athlon XP 3200+ 2.2GHz
    Video Card: Radeon 9600 PRO
    Motherboard: Generic PoS from HP
    RAM: Generic brand, 1GB DDR333
    HDD: WD 160GB

Man, this computer is going to be awesome.
That's the power of Chrome in your ass.

    nice rig.
i would try to get a 9600 instead of that 9500 though.
that thing also has crossfire support, so i would go with an ati card.

i need to do a serious update in the next 2 years or so.
also i've never seen that many logos on a motherboard box.

Yeah, I wanted the 9600 GT 512MB, but it killed the $500 budget. I'm going to pick up a Radeon HD 5770 at some point.
