    Screen Issue

Alright guys, I've got a good one for you:

My laptop screen won't turn on when I turn on the laptop. At first, I thought it was because excess pressure had been applied to the screen top when it was closed (someone had placed a different laptop on top of it > _ >)

Then, I realized that the screen did indeed work. How? I placed the laptop down a little harder than I should, and the battery (which doubles as a stand), tapped the table. The laptop screen then jolted on, booting the computer as normal.

This leads me to believe that the laptop is having some kind of connection problem with the battery. I removed the battery, but nothing glaringly obvious could be found. I thought maybe excess dust had accumulated underneath the connectors (as this is my first time removing the battery), but no, nothing is physically resisting the battery.

This entire problem started yesterday, but the case was much easier - I just rebooted the laptop manually and it turned on. Now, for some odd reason, it won't do that. This is, at the moment, my only computer and I REALLY need to be able to use it. I don't know what's going on, but if someone does, please do help.

Hm, I don't know man. One of my brothers have the same kind of laptop where the battery acts as a stand, but he has never had the problem. Maybe you should get it fixed or something?

Pour some vinegar on it, leave it in the sun for a while, and come back about 5 hours later and see what happens.

This actually happened with my macbook a while ago, the way I fixed it was I looked online how to do a screen replacement and badabing, taking it out and re-seating all the connections was the trick for me.

PS. You should've kept that netbook!

^That seems hard and warranty voiding. Guess the latter wouldn't really matter because it's warranty is all gone, but still.

I guess I could try that, but it seems quite dangerous. I wonder if they have any for my laptop model :/.

You see say if its a sound problem for example all you do is uninstall the driver then reinstall it, then bob's your uncle all fixed.

Now the only problem is with laptops if something breaks that you might need a new part for it is hard to replace, for example my input jack for my sound had broke for this laptop im on so I have to use a usb headphones now. (But on a normal pc you could easily replace that )

Now "your problem" is the screen you might need a new one D: but im sure there must be something you can refresh as such to fix this problem, im just not sure if you could fix the problem by refesh / re-install something anyway. :(
(Try of course googleing the same kind of problem if no answers pop up here)

The screen isn't broken. The only thing that could be wrong with the screen itself would be the cables connecting the screen to the laptop's power source. I'm just going to take it to Best Buy later today or tomorrow so that they can run a diagnostics scan.

I'm using it now, so it's clearly not broken or damaged beyond fixing. I don't have the money to go out and buy another laptop or screen for that matter. I'm really hoping that the fix is quite easy and superficial.

That being said, getting it "repaired" cost money, and I know that they'll tell me what I already know.

This once happened to my desktop when our reciever dish was struck by lightning. I bought an identical desktop and put my old harddrive in the new computer.
