I know that there have been a few books and manga based on the legend of zelda series, but if you had a choice, what type of Legend of Zelda book would you prefer, which Legend of Zelda game would it be based on, and would it be more focused on battle, comedy, romance, brain teasers, etc.
Respond, there's always something new on the Forums.

i would want one on majora's mask to tell the story about where navi was during that time and what she was doing while link was with the other fairies. maybe she watched over link like a silent guardian or something...

    Don't you agree, Zach?

I wouldn't want a Zelda book based on a single game. I think it would be better if it was a completely new adventure.

Ah, I get what you mean. Sometimes it's no fun if a book is completely based off of a game, because even if you read that book for the first time, there's no feeling of suspence since you already know what'll happen. >w<
Kinda makes me want to write a book off Ocarina of Time, but change so many aspects you don't know what hit you.

Personal opinion, but that's how I like it

I'd rather the author base the book on one of the games then them go and make up their own story, especially if it's a third party source penning the book.

I myself would like some kind of "Book of Monsters" type book with all of the creatures, races, and characters from the Legend of Zelda story, with game appearances, secrets, and history and the like.

Ooh! And a coloring page, too! Those are awesome.

Oh! Start the book on a game, but then modify it as they go along. Sounds awesome! ^_^
Maybe I'll try to type my own kinda Legend of Zelda book for fun. Sounds interesting to me. Wonder if I can post segments of that book online, or is that not allowed. Kinda skipped reading the terms and usage page thingy.
    I know, I'm a bad boy.

That would be cool, especially the coloring page. I wanna color Link! :P

Seriously though, I think a fictional reference book like that would be great. I'd buy it for sure.

Hylian: If you really want to write a fan fiction, you can post it here in the Nintendo Gallery section.

Hmm, I posted a segment of the book I wrote about OoT six years ago under
Nintendo Forums ¨ General Discussion ¨ Nintendo Gallery ¨ Creative Writing ¨ LoZ, OoT, My Version =D
Since it was written when I was in middle school, don't expect too much.
Looking back, I wrote just waaaaaaaaaaay too much for a prologue. Never knew when to stop, stupid me.
Well, if you read it, please come back here and post a few comments. =3

Hmm, wonder what I'd have to do if I wanted to publish a legend of Zelda book. Kinda interesting thought, so I want to see if I can take a dream a small step forward.

I don't know for sure, but I guess you'd just have to contact various publishers to find one. There might be some copyright stuff to go through with Nintendo too. Oh yeah, I remember hearing about self-publishing kits you can buy. Contacting a publisher to get more info would probably be your best bet though.
