It ultimately comes to how you play the game and who you play the game with. I personally don't play Brawl anymore because I feel that the game has lost its magic from the N64 days. (Do Not Argue With Me.)

People like to compete with each other; it's human nature. And naturally, people try to find the best ways at winning (which in this case, are learning the different combos and mindgames associated with each character).
