The first game to ever actuall ADDICT me was pokemon emerald. I have played all the other versions before, but emerald was the first to actually kick me in the face! The gameplay was so simple and the graphics were so well made, so crisp! and the pokemon sotrage system was always my favorite thing to play with =P I was always re-organising it~

I still pick up and emerald rom every now and then, but i always end up cheating xD

(Pokemon silver was pretty close.. I spent SO much time on that. but i stopped playing after a month or so...)

Like I said in my original post, Red was really the game that turned me into a gamer. I think my parents might have realized their mistake when I started playing almost every hour of the day I was awake. I think during my first month of playing it I have clocked in over a week of game time, and after that they wised up and started restricting my time on my Gameboy.

At the time though I didn't really consider myself a gamer, just a Pokemon fan... I don't think I fully realized my love for video games as a whole until around the PS2 and XBox era many years later. Games like Burnout 3, Shadow of the Colossus, Katamari Damacy, and (at the time) Halo are what really pushed me from casual gamer to a lover of all things gaming.

I think the most recent games to really change my views on gaming would have to be Portal and Bioshock. Lets face it, everybody who picked up portal loved it. The gameplay was fun; the humor was dark and creative; the portal gun was like nothing else out there. Bioshock was really the game that finally convinced me that a game's story can really be as great as a story in any other medium.

Nintendo's always made games throughout the years that have inspired me to higher levels of creativity. I wanted to work for them, when I was younger. Still kinda' do ... but not as much.

The first game I ever played was Bubble Bobble for the NES. I loved it so much and played it with my grandma everyday and later moved on to Mario and Kirby.

a Link to the Past. Introduced me to the world of gaming, and Nintendo. It's sheer size, scope, and developing challenge was so awesome. Plus, the simple story was easy to enjoy, and still is.

    I couldn't agree more.

Also, Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island was an incredible game that secured my love for the Mario series. In fact, to this day, I still consider it to be my most favorite Nintendo game of all time.
