How long will Pokemon last?

Sooner or later they're going to run out of ideas, or just start dishing out horrible ones. When do you think Pokemon will finally end? I think Pokemon will end after the next 2 or 3 generations. Maybe 4. That's my prediction.

A lot of strong series start falling off after a while; (Spyro, Crash etc...) I think what Mario, Link, and to a lesser extent Samus have done is probably the exception rather than the rule, but I could always be pleasantly surprised.

Why would they stop making Pokemon games if they made so much money off of every single game they put out? As for the number of Pokemon, I could see them just stopping at 1000 since 500+ is already ridiculous.
