With how much content and resources are at our fingertips for free, I was wondering if people could give me their opinion as to whether or not its worth subscribing to? I'd love to hear from both subscribers and non-subscribers alike. Thanks a bunch XD

    Don't you agree, Zach?

I'm not a subscriber. I get most of my news from IGN. If you just care about news, then I'd save your money.

Foremost is the chromatic substance accomplishment to Picklegod! Pickle contributes to all parts of the forum, stays astir, and mostly is awful to everyone he meets. A wonderful, intelligent somebody, Pickle testament now better us with every day NF decisions. Approval Picklgod!

I remember when I was a big Playstation gamer back on the PS1, I was a four year subscriber to Playstation Magazine. It was an awesome mag and I wanted to have a similar experience nowadays. I suppose the internet content for games wasn't quite as prominent as it is now. I suppose I might just stick to internet sites.

    Always tl;dr

I loved getting Nintendo Power, but the only thing was... it made me too excited about games! I ended up spending tons of money all of the time (granted on quality games. They do a good job with reviews, IMO). I really do enjoy reading the articles and reviews, but I just can't afford to spend money on games all of the time. :(

I would say (from posts you've made around the forum) that you're obviously pretty into the Wii and such, so getting the mag would be beneficial I think. Especially since you want to get your girlfriend into it, it can give you in depth reviews that you can read together and decide what you want.

    I hope this helped!

I dunno. I personally believe it's rather biased, as it is a Nintendo magazine covering Nintendo consoles. I personally subscribe to Game Informer, which I enjoy very much.
That's the power of Chrome in your ass.

Thanks for the input liongirl. See I used to read an independent magazine that was geared solely to Playstation, but not a Playstation sponsored mag. The problem is that Nintendo Power is an official mag sponsored by Nintendo which I think might make it biased. Lets face it, they're trying to move their products and keep their hardware successful. This is the only Nintendo mag I've come across.

I've been with Nintendo Power for five years and I'm still going. The magazine has improved on getting news that is exclusive when the magazine first gets revealed. This is the best magazine to get Nintendo material so if you're a huge nintendo fan, go for it. Otherwise go get a Game Informer subscription. If you just want news, go to gonintendo.com or kotaku.com. Hope this helps!

Thanks blue, I decided not to get a subscription. I am starting a new job which is 10-15 hours more a week and my game time has dropped. Mostly just gaming in my free time, which isn't as often anymore.

You should try and read Nintendo Power at the newsstands when your at a grocery store since they have lots of previews for underrated games that you may initially skip such as Kolona or MadWorld. Also, they were the first on Red Steel 2 and the upcoming Capcom vs Tatsunoko game. Have fun at your job, make sure to save up that hard earned cash for the Conduit!
