A lot of people assume that Nintendo does make all the kiddy games though, but then it would be even more so ironic to say that Nintendo makes more mature games for a different auidence than it does with childish games for a more casual wide auidence. Nintendo's been basically trying to do that even before the Wii came out anyway... But this is the problem that lies in itself in which I hate agreeing with game reviewer Yahattze - Imagine a world were games of today didn't have bloody over-produced sequels firing out of the guillet every half a year or so? Or a world where a sequel would take more than a year - especially with smash hits like Zelda so they can at least take there bloody time on the thing and make it stream out with originality and beautiful gameplay? But there's an arguement for this which could be the following: They would loose money if they kept most of there smash hits on hold for years as people would grow tiresome of the console itself or Nintendo itself and move onto a different bandwagon - such as a different console. I'd love to see Nintendo itself, not the other game companies that make these casual games - gather around a desk and think of a new original game to give us that isn't a Mario, or Zelda or Kirby or Metroid. Something that was completely new and brilliant and could, if it was so good, join the many mascots of Nintendo. I'm still rather interested to see how that new Zelda game on the DS does though, or for that matter how Madworld done. Need to buy it now =\ ... |

You're a louse.

"Nintendo make moar money, therefore they're a better game developer" If a console is "falling" compared to other consoles, it's a bad console - simple. I'm sensing a lot of buyer's remorse just reading the reply. Sell your Wii and buy an Xbox, chap. |

i'm a casual gamer. i started gaming again with the n64 (i had 2600 when younger). i was disappointed with the casual games for the cube. i'm also disappointed with the wii. however, my 8 yr old loves all the mild an easy games. i like the wii's nudge system for pinball, but it's an expensive pinball emulator. i still play my large n64 collection

First off, TP isn't the best Wii game, N64dude. Second off, yes, I still have faith in Nintendo. They've still made games for us normal gamers, just at a slower pace. Finally, yes, the next Zelda for the DS will be good. IMO, it looks to be better than Phantom Hourglass because it doesn't have the Ocean temple. <_< Edited by Kiske, Apr 2 2009, 09:31 AM.

I still have faith. Less than 1% of faith, yes, but more than 0%. >_> They're still making games for us normal gamers, but at an abysmal pace, like Kiske said. |

Didn't the developer of Smash Bros. make a little section of Nintendo or something that makes good games only? He teamed up with someone else too, like intelligent systems or something. I dunno. |

Yeah, Sakurai formed a new company called Sora. But I think Brawl has been the only game they've worked on so far. |

If Nintendo made more games like brawl, they would have a ton more fans. |

Of course I still have faith in Nintendo. Their casual games are selling like hotcakes. New hardcore gamers are being born as we speak because of Nintendo's current business plan, and as long as we stick around to see the outcome, I'm sure they'll start pumping out some more high quality games in due time. Right now they just want to find more people who will play said high quality games instead of only focusing on the little clump of people who still play Super Mario Bros. on their NES. |

well, this morning i tried to watch star trek on youtube. i can't, due to the intro ad now needing a higher flash to run. the ad used to run in sound only. it's hard to believe that these companies can't come together to update flash on the wii. well, at least i still have william's pinball, guitar hero, and wii fit i'm sorry you hardcore gamers bought a wii and are now disappointed. i bought it because it seems to cater to me. i like fun, colorful, light hearted games. i also have very little time to play games, so i like games i can jump in and out of. i still like my n64 better. seems like games and everything else are being further dumbed down. perhaps it's demand. i deal with the public on a daily basis. i notice the failure of education everyone used to talk about Edited by androidlove, Apr 24 2009, 08:39 AM.
