Just because E3 was bad it doesn't mean Nintendo aren't developing new games. We were assured that there was a new Mario/Zelda game in the making.
Did they mention for what system?
Because I know of the new Mario and Luigi RPG for Ds and now everyone on the face of the planet knows about Spirit Tracks, are those the games we're getting?
Not trying to sound like a jerk, I just want a new Mario Console game.

Just saying that a new Zelda is in the making doesn't mean they are working hard. Of course they have new mainstream games. It's their cash cow and they're going to milk it. What I would like to see is a new hardcore IP.
That's the power of Chrome in your ass.

It's an intellectual property, a new game. Like when Zelda was first released, it was a new IP. The following Zelda games were not, as they are part of the Zelda franchise. Do you understand now?

No, I lost a ton of faith in Nintendo after they released the joke of a game that is Super Smash Bros. Brawl. Smash is my favorite game series - Melee and SSB64 are numbers 1 and 2 in the list of my favorite games of all time. But Brawl was just horrible. They don't really care about real gamers anymore, anyway - just grandmas and soccer moms now, it seems.

It's not that I can blame them though. After all, they are a company and nothing more -- and they'll do whatever it takes to earn the most money.

I hate this whole thing were people say Nintendo milk their franchises. I'll put it this way, i've seen a lot of people say they are gonna milk Smash Bros and make a fourth game but the same people are saying they want a fourth game. Either way Nintendo can't win.

You guys do realize that Nintendo isn't the one making these "kiddy" games, right? It's mostly third party publishers who make the games. Nintendo allows them to make it and put it on the Wii. And why wouldn't they? It makes perfect sense for them. They don't make the game, or have anything to do with it really, but they make money? They're all over those deals. It spreads their audience and makes them money.

Nintendo has it's IP's that make money. Really, the only main IP Nintendo has that sees massive amounts of daylight is the Mario series. There's one Zelda game every 1 or 2 years, and Kirby will see some action every so often. What of their other hit IP's? Starfox? F-Zero? They've still got plenty of action waiting. I can't wait to see what Starfox and F-Zero will look like on the Wii.

IP is intellectual property, by the way.

Nintendo just released at least 17 M rated games in the past month and a half, so they're somewhat veering away from casual gaming (of course, the causal gamers are yelling at them and telling them to remember who they originally intended their games to be for)

Of course I still have faith in Nintendo. Remember how the Game Cube fell to the Xbox and PS2? I'm sure many people still stuck with Nintendo then and now we're seeing a revolution where Nintendo is dominating the market. Microsoft doesn't have a chance.
I found that part of your post to be exceptionally hilarious.

I don't know if anybody's touched on this yet, but I'm wondering if Nintendo is making a profit just by selling hardware. It seems obvious that the Wii would be the cheapest to manufacture, so it's therefore more viable for Nintendo to target casual or non-gamers who don't buy as much software, whereas Sony and Microsoft need strong software sales to make a decent profit.
