Wii Sports is awesome. I know you must be afraid to admit that because it doesn't have teh guns and teh violence but it's a very enjoyable game.
    XD
    Thank you.
I was thinking the same thing, "If I wrote that....Would that make me seem like a jerk?"
    But it's so true ><

Seriously though, Tennis and Boxing are a blast.
Sure it doesn't compete with all those professionally made tennis games but god damn it entertained me.
Agreed. Mario Tennis for the N64 was also fun and still my favorite tennis game.
A fun game to be sure. I'm glad it's coming onto the Play It On Wii range.

In my opinion, a collection of minigames is not a game. Wii Sports is fun as a distraction, but calling it the best selling game of all time is bullshit. I've never actually seen it outside of a bundle. That's not the point, though. It just pisses me off that Nintendo stopped making hardcore stuff because these games sell well. Thus, I hate Wii Sports.
I understand that you hate it, but I meant gameplay wise.
Sorry if that wasn't clearly written, but if we just posted games we hated, then my list would be full of actually popular games that I just can't stand (Halo 3, for example)

[EDIT] If a collection of minigames in not considered a game by you, then why'd you postit as the worst game you can remember?

Also, Nintendo did not stop making hardcore games, try Metroid Prime 3, Super Paper Mario, Galaxy (not exactly easy if you want to get 120 stars), and Wii Sports (difficult if you play the harder set A.I.)

    1) A collection of mini-games is a game. There's no opinion, it's a fact.

    2) It's not bundled in Japan.

    3) Nintendo did not stop making hardcore stuff, nor does the term "hardcore" depend on the game. Just the player.

Halo 3 was epic. Sorry, it didn't deserve 100 out of 100 or whatever crap some people gave it but 95 at the very least.

Gameplaywise... It's just a collection of minigames that overuse the motion gimmick.

Nintendo needs to stop making games based around motion and work on the gameplay.

Yes, that's my point. I won't post Halo 3 on my list of worst games on this post even though i HATE that game. I won't post it because I understand a ton of people love it. I just hate it because I'm not a fan of most of the current FPS games out (I prefer old style FPS games, sorry)

Yes, they need to stop focusing on what the Wii remote was made to do. Great idea.

I get a lecture from my mate about not having a 360 every time I see him. Don't worry about it.

EDIT: Just laughed at Wolf's reply. ^_^

I guess they have no choice. Nintendo designed the Wii with basically one difference from the GC. Graphically, they're the same. Audio? Same. Without the motion controls, the Wii is just a GC. So Nintendo tacks on crappy controls and expects games to work perfectly. At least they let you use a GC controller with Brawl.

Let me restate that. It's a good game fun-wise.

And motion control does not make a game less "hardcore". It's just a new control scheme, like a touch screen. And "hardcore games"isn't a genre, it's just another word some use for "violent/bloody".

Basically you're saying all hardcore games are violent and bloody? Mario Galaxy is considered a hardcore game but I don't see a drop of blood or (much) violence either.

Untrue. Does the GCN have Wi-Fi? Internet? Downloadble content?
And if you looked at the specs for the Wii, it has greater graphical/audio possibilities, it's not Nintendo's fault if developers are lazy.

    [EDIT]
    @Kingleon:
Like I said, I don't think games can be labeled as hardcore, really. When I posted earlier about Nintendo still making hardcore games, I was pretending to assume that hardcore games actually exist, but this time I just stated my belief that "hardcore games" are just another word people use to mean "violent/bloody/difficult.
I personally don't think any game should conform to being "hardcore".

On topic: Another bad game would be some Batman game I played years ago (forgot the name, but it was GCN), horrible controls made the game unplayable for me. Also, the levels had horrible design,as the game was yet another hack and slash.

Is Zelda violent and bloody? Is Mario violent and bloody? No. They're still hardcore games. If you slap Zelda 1 in the face of a casual gamer, they'd be like "Wtf is this?". Not exactly a literal example, but you get my point.

Did you not read what I said about hardcore not being defined by the games themself?
