mainly the problem with the health is i couldnt see it, the games lighting was also to dark.. and i grew board of its gehto map compared to zeldas perfect map. I have never played a game with tanks of life... such a wierd concept. playing any game, "dont worry guys got plenty of tanks of health left" lol then i didnt understand the wierd balls that came out from killing enemies... they were all in different colors... purple and blues... it hought blue was for that power stuff but its the same as yoru health so everything i got just raised my health... i never knew how many tanks of health i could have. ugn it was just horrible.

Wow, you guys chose some decent games as the worst? Metroid Prime was a masterpiece for most that understood it.... And Twilight Princess was pretty mediocre, but aren't there worst games (Superman 64, Catwomen, ET??? Those are REALLY bad games, not just that you dislike) Edited by darklight, Jan 7 2009, 10:15 PM.

I'm guessing people aren't coming out with the games commonly considered 'WORST EVAR' because they've been lucky enough to avoid them and as such haven't been able to form an opinion on them. I must say I've avoided the vast majority of the most notoriously shitty games out there, although I have played the Mega Drive version of Action 52. Don't really have much to say about it other than it's as hilariously bad as people make out. |

Zelda: Twilight Princess for me. Lotr styled horseback duels don't do it for me - as should they not for anyone. I don't know if Shigsy watched a lot of the Lotr's while making the game but it possibly should have resulted in Mr Miyamoto being locked in a Cell and hypnotized until he forgot all about the Lotr. I actually liked Minda/Mida but ... where the hell are the cuckoo's? Why do they have altered heads like walking d****'s and why does Epona look like a Lotr horse? Infact - why was the Water temple easy this time around 0.0? I loved the Water Temple in most of the previous games... I guess the Sims is another of the worst games I can ever remember playing - although parts of it were pretty funny. I remember my house going on Fire, and my guy just sat down on the couch watching TV and deliberatly ignored the fire until he got killed... I guess it made me chuckle in a sick weird way.. |

I guess, but you guys don't have to own the game, you just needed to have played it (even just once) And playing bad games is fun for me, I get to appreciate the good games a lot more afterwards

Red steel. If by smooth you mean for no reason my character would have like a seizure and swing the gun around when I was perfectly still, then sure. |

More Red Steel criticism It seems like you either love the game or hate it. But you know, due to the success of the first game (European gamers, apparently, really liked the game) a sequel is planned. And they plan to improve the controls with the Wii-Motion Plus (the new peripheral for the Wii that allows precise motion control). So I'm guessing that they've been listening to complaints about the sword fighting and the controls. If the second game appears good, I might try it, but now knowing that they plan on releasing a better game in Q4 2009, I have no incentive to try the original Red Steel now. Good, you shouldn't try it. It would be a waste of your time and money.

And if this post doesn't convince you I'd advised going on the Escapist Magazine - viewing Yahtzee and just listen to what he has to say about it. Its not one of the opinionated games thats like Marmite - you just only have the option of hate. A nice warm hate. |

But I remember Nintendo Power giving it a good score (8.5 I think) and the Official UK Nintendo Mag gave it a 91%. Neither of these scores convinces me to try the game though. After all, Nintendo Power is a little wacky in their rating system: The World Ends With You got the same score as Mario Kart Wii , despite Mario Kart Wii's reliance on luck. And they gave Okami a 7.5 because of "difficulty drawing the symbols". By the way, these 'symbols' are circles and lines.....[EDIT] Gamesmaster gave Red Steel 100% As you can see, I don't listen to media reviews when buying games

Yeah but there's a difference - Yahtzee reviews games fairly and not so he can get in any game companies good books. The people that Review games for Gamestores that have tie-ins with an offical GAME company of any sort will be influenced to say something good about their game in order to persuade customers into buying that game. So in all honesty - You could've had an amazingly terrible Game like SuperMan64 - and back in the past someone from GAME could tell you its fabulous and game of the year when in reality the game sucks balls. You should never trust what GAME, Gamestation or what most game stores tell you about games but find a reliable Games Reviewer who actually reviews games on its Gameplay and Replay Value such as Yahtzee or if more peferable - someone of your choice that you feel comfortable in trusting. I never tend to buy offical magazines either for their reviews on games since they lie most times - I feel more comfy trusting NGamer or X360World then ONM/OXM. Ugh I kinda forgot where I was going with this now... Edited by Vasioth, Jan 8 2009, 11:31 AM.

I never listen to reviews by anyone actually. Everyone has a bias, even if it's an independent reviewer. I just look at gameplay videos of actual people playing them (which is why it takes me so long to get new games) |

Then find someone that's Bias completely the same as you. Although that is also what I use to do for games I guess. Yahtzee for me just seems... very similiar in game taste. |
