Eventually, they may take over the entire planet! Just read about this on a science website I visit. Thought it was interesting, so I posted the link here for your reading pleasure. Enjoy! Or don't. Whatever floats your boat. Anyway... Here's the article.

Can't think of any real problems this will cause though. Other than annoyance, I think concern is mainly over the fact that they kill the native species and have larger colonies. It also may be the unknowns connected with a species entering a new environment. But yeah, I know what you mean.

Call me cruel, but when I was younger I would take two huge colonies of different ants and watch both sides fight each other to the death inside of a bucket. It was epic. For added effect I would put antlion larva inside beforehand and let them dig sink holes... the larva then hides at the bottom of the pit, waiting for an ant to fall into it's giant pincers, Sarlacc-style. D:

D: Theres actually a species of ants that suicides itself to kill others lol that should totaly be in the fight Yeah i can't remember what their called but your right. The terrorist scuicide bombers actually got the idea of doing this from the scuicide exploding ants. They actually do this to stun their victims into a state of temorary shock then the rest of the colony can come and eat it while it can't move. Actually pretty interesting.
