Most of my game ideas are horrible, and I don't think this will be an exception. A first person Mario game, in which you can choose which view. I think it would be cool to see Goombas up close.

i think it would be cool to re-do SMB3 in First person. Sounds kind of cool, but kind of hard. And mostly just for gamers. I think it would be worth buying though.

That's a different idea. It's experimental I guess, but I'd give it a go if it was released!

You wouldn't move around like yo could in Super Mario 64, Sunshine , or Galaxy. You would only be able to move up, down, left, and right like the old ones.I think it would be pretty cool.

    Meh. I don't think so.

Foremost is the chromatic substance accomplishment to Picklegod! Pickle contributes to all parts of the forum, stays astir, and mostly is awful to everyone he meets. A wonderful, intelligent somebody, Pickle testament now better us with every day NF decisions. Approval Picklgod!

Platforming is incredibly difficult in first person. Notice that when you switch to the first-person view in every other Mario game, you are rendered immobile. Imagine how hard it would be to maneuver in the more difficult levels? I'm gonna give this one a thumbs-down.

I know I wouldn't be expecting a good game, but being a Mario fan, I would have to buy it.

There is a difference between being a fan and being a mindless consumer, Doopliss. I'm a Mario fan, a Zelda fan, a Metroid fan, and fans of many other series, but that doesn't mean I own every game in those series, regardless of how good they are. Maybe you should think your ideas through more so that only people in the first category I described would buy them, rather than the latter.

A 3D Mario would be about as effective as a toned down version of "Mirror's edge".

So no. I'd rather have a Mario simulator.

Mostly true. I thought platforming sucks (and continues to suck) in Half-Life, but games like Mirror's Edge can prove it's mettle.

A first person Mario platformer probably wouldn't be very good. It would be really hard to pull off. And mostly likely it wouldn't be done very well.
It would probably have to be a shooter, like Yoshi's Safari.
