No it's not we are talking about, we were talking about aliens from space. All you have to do is look down and see that this is in the space chat. Therefore we must be talking about aliens from space.

I would be kind of scared but interested at the same time.

I really don't beleave that "aliens" will ever land on earth
I do beleave life is out there, I don't beleave they are close enough to have any chance of finding/reaching us

Agreed. It's very unlikely, but it's always neat to wonder. :)

Hmm, I've always believed that aliens existed because the universe is just to damn small for only humans. I've also considered though, that if we actually saw aliens, I doubt they would be humanoid.

They'd need a planet much like ours if you think about it. The proper atmosphere, necessary resources, a bunch of random gases and particles from the periodic table, etc.

If there were aliens out there and they didn't have a planet much like ours, they would have either:
    -died out
-somehow survived and are far ahead of us in technology
-or they aren't humanoid, more like insects with a necessary exoskeleton to protect themselves from things the atmosphere protect us from already.

    That's my theory atleast.

I can see your point there but there can be life out there not like us. Hollywood has made us think of them as something to be feared, but they might, if they ever do come to the earth, have things to share with us.

I also believe it's pretty selfish to think that we are the only intelligent life forms in the universe.

@Sparky: don't quote just to say that.

We've already discovered alien bacteria. Maybe someday that bacteria will evolve into a greater lifeform...

Not like us? That's exactly what I implied. And nowhere in my post did I say I believed aliens were hostile. If aliens were to behave like insects and other animals do, technically, they'd only be hostile if they felt threatened. If they acted like humans, then they may be able to be reasoned with.

I misread on the looking like us part, but the other hollywood thing I just felt like saying. it wasn't directing to you
