I used to only switch to Zelda when I'm trying to recover from a long fall, but Brawl was gay enough to nerf that and changed the transformation even longer :\

actually, i find sometimes shiek is better recovering, due to her long tether and they made the b up better. but zelda is light so....i guess idk

No one seems to have discussed Diddy...I used him at times, and he's pretty good. Bananas are good combo breakers and perfect for setting up combos (They're like a version of Snake's mines...except they make you trip), good aerials, and lol facehump. I usually transition to an attack instead of trying to latch onto an enemy with the side B, like ZSS.

Another not-very-often-discussed character here is Pit. I love his multiple hit attacks, but I especially like his down B, since it blocks ANYTHING that faces him. ANYTHING. Maybe good use for as an edgeguard (kinda like how people use Counter or Peach's neutral for edgeguarding). The spammable arrows are great ways to follow up a recovering opponent. I just have a problem on getting kills with him though.

    Diddy Kong Advanced Techniques.
    http://youtube.com/watch?v=qwL4Z-sY0rg

    Quote:

    1. Stutter Step
This technique allows you to get much more range on your forward smash attack. to do this while facing right, you Smash RIGHT and LEFT on the joystick
then immediately press C-Stick to the RIGHT.

    2.Smash Banana
This brings out a banana much higher than before allowing you to grab it before it hits the ground, or for mindgames. To do this, you hit down+B at the same time like a smash attack.

    3.Diddy Hump DI
Unfortunately, only the opponent can control the direction by tapping, so this one is just a teaser :P

    4.Snap Cancel
This allows you to cancel the auto sweet spotting feature opening up lots of mind games and surprise attacks. Simply hold DOWN on the joystick and you wont grab the ledge. obviously dont hold down if you want to grab it.

    5. DLX Cancel(Diddy Version)
This is done by doing a dash attack then immediately doing an Upsmash, Downsmash, or C-stick Up, C-stick Down. I need to rename this technique later since its not really DLX cancel :o.

    6. Fox Trot
This is supposedly faster than running and while you are doing this, you don't trip.
simply tap in a direction, and once the dash animation is over, tap again. it takes a little while to get down the muscle memory.

    7. B-reversal
This is basically B-sticking without the B-stick. It allows you to turn directions in the air and also after a dash MUCH quicker than pivoting. Press B (dont hold a direction), then IMMEDIATELY smash left or right (whichever direction you want to shoot). Also works if you use the direction before hitting B.

    8. Popgun Cancel
To do this, jump and press B and hit L within the first few frames of this move. It is almost immediate. This is more of a mindgame technique.

    9. Jump Cancel Banana
This is NOT the same as glide tossing!!!
It is similar though. Instead of hitting shield just before you do a glide toss, hit jump. I re-maped my R button to be Jump to make it easier. I noticed that jump canceling gives you a bit more "slide" and is easier to do while running.

    A. Unnamed Technique #1
This might be pretty useless but you can slide across in like 3 dashes. Maybe this will develop into a tech later on or something :o

Works for me. I love Diddy.

Heh, when I was using ROB against my cousin, who was using Snake, I found something odd. Snake was using up+B, and he was pretty high above FD, and I used a u-air. The attack didn't disrupt, kinda like Ike's Super Armor. Is it possible Snake's Up+B a Super Armor?

Also, I'm probably maining ROB from now on. His dash attack can be comboed into neutrals/tilts, and his aerials are pretty good.

Yeah Snake's UpB has Super Armor for the first few seconds, then afterwards he's vulnerable.

I'm a beast with Yoshi now. My strategy is:

    1. Rack up about 40% on the enemy using tilts and his Down+B when in the air.

    2. Dash toward the opponent and use a C-Stick up smash.

    3. Depending on the damage, either use uair or wait until the opponent hits the ground and do the up-smash again.

Works every time. This is against CPUs, though...

his Down+B when in the air.

Bah, I really only use stall-then-falls when I wanna go down quickly. Their recovery lag times suck though. And it's easy to take those characters into a grab.

I'm guessing he made the same mistake as me: using his dair as a spike.
You'll usually end up comboing yourself to death along with the guy.
