you are correct sir. I should have said: It's like Melee, but on fire, such that it looks pretty, but kills what was so great. |

I only liked how they added more stages and unlockable characters. I hated Subspace, I hated matches (too damned hard, was like fighting on a 0.1 in Melee), when there were 3 or more people in a match it got too confusing. Using characters got harder. |

What I don't like about brawl are as follows 1. The characters are significantly slower 2. The game is too forgiving when it comes to facing the wrong way of the edge. (Melee, you die, in brawl you miraculously get on the edge) 3. Characters are not balanced in this game! (King Dedede, Captain Olimar, and Lucas are way too cheep with little effort) 4. Lack of Wave dashing 5. Horrible online play 6. Final Smashes show up too often. 7. Also, why do we have the the kirby ship in three pieces (Dragoon?) and the golden hammer that ends up being useless. 8. Lack of a stamina mode like in Melee. 9. Roy's our boy! Mewtwo also pawns Lucario! |

If it really bothers you, you can set it to show up less often. |

Hello little fella!
|
My only gripe is how slow it is and how you float to the ground and they took out Roy and Mewtwo

You mean from very high to low right? Either way, I can never go without a match without finding a smash ball on the stage when the items are on. |

No, it clearly sounded like you don't know how to turn the Smash Balls off completely while other items are on. The hell? You expect none to show up when they're turned on? Looks like we found your answer. Low does not mean one and I don't see how you expected that. |

Nope. I read that too. Didn't make any difference. Yes, I have played the game. Smash Balls never seemed to appear more frequently than other items. It might just seem that way because it's always a big deal when the Smash Ball shows up but some of the smaller items might just go unnoticed. And if you think it's so unfair, why not just turn it off? Yes, I'll agree with you that Smash Balls appear more frequently in Brawl than they do in Melee. Probably because they aren't even in Melee so I don't see how that is relevant. And how frequently something shows up isn't an opinion. Have a nice day. |

Don't you agree, Zach?

I just want to throw in (don't want to get into a heated debate) that I don't think the smash ball is that unfair. Some people I've seen are completely awful at using them at the right time. I've also had many battles where the smash ball was gotten by one person, knocked out of him, grabbed by another, who also had it knocked out of him, and so on until it just disappeared. So in my opinion, it takes some amount of skill to use the smash ball. As for frequency, I have no problem on medium. |

No. You said, "I can never go without a match without finding a smash ball on the stage when the items are on." You made it sound like you had a problem with just one Smash Ball showing up, let alone multiple. That's why I brought up the question of you switching the item off completely. If you're referring to online matches in which you don't have control over the items that will appear, then how do you know it's always on low? You don't. Three is a pretty low number to me, by the way. Depends on how long these matches were. Yes, I am reading the full responses. It takes skill to dodge items. Not everything is avoidable but it's not impossible. You can catch items that are thrown at you, use the shield button, use the landscaping to your advantage, etc. In online, I recommend not playing random matches because no one has control over the items that show up. In friends matches, try to compensate on which items are in the match with whoever is hosting. How in the world did I contradict myself? What did I claim was my own opinion? And how cheap the Smash Ball is depends on the character it's being used with and how well the player works with it. Argument done. Edited by Wolf, May 14 2009, 05:45 PM.
