It was good, but more like Melee 2.0 than anything else.
    Minus what made Melee great.
you are correct sir. I should have said: It's like Melee, but on fire, such that it looks pretty, but kills what was so great.
Japan: Oh Noez! It's Teh Rexz!!!!!
    Me: Nom nom nom

I only liked how they added more stages and unlockable characters. I hated Subspace, I hated matches (too damned hard, was like fighting on a 0.1 in Melee), when there were 3 or more people in a match it got too confusing. Using characters got harder.

What I don't like about brawl are as follows

    1. The characters are significantly slower
    2. The game is too forgiving when it comes to facing the wrong way of the edge. (Melee, you die, in brawl you miraculously get on the edge)
    3. Characters are not balanced in this game! (King Dedede, Captain Olimar, and Lucas are way too cheep with little effort)
    4. Lack of Wave dashing
    5. Horrible online play
    6. Final Smashes show up too often.
    7. Also, why do we have the the kirby ship in three pieces (Dragoon?) and the golden hammer that ends up being useless.
    8. Lack of a stamina mode like in Melee.
    9. Roy's our boy! Mewtwo also pawns Lucario!

If it really bothers you, you can set it to show up less often.

    Hello little fella!
My only gripe is how slow it is and how you float to the ground and they took out Roy and Mewtwo :(

You mean from very high to low right? Either way, I can never go without a match without finding a smash ball on the stage when the items are on.

    >.> You do notice that my response above clearly shows that I knew what I was talking about right? My point was whether you put the smash ball on high or on low, I always end up having one of them in my game. I guess the only way to solve it is to turn it off completely, but if Sakuri (Smash Bros head) and the other developers of the game would have allowed the smash ball to show up once per match or once every five or ten minutes, I wouldn't be complaining. Regardless of this, I myself always have items turned off so I guess my problem only occurs when I play with my friends who like items.

No, it clearly sounded like you don't know how to turn the Smash Balls off completely while other items are on.

Looks like we found your answer. Low does not mean one and I don't see how you expected that.

Okay, read above where I ask "You mean from low to high right?" and there you will find that you misunderstood what I was saying.

Have you played the game? Tell me why the game has roughly 40 items on and how every one of those matches a smash ball is more likely to show up over the light sword..... Also take note that a smash ball can completely turn the game around over an item like the light sword or base ball bat. Those items actually require skill, heck even that silly dragoon ship is more fair than a smash ball!

See my above remark. My advice for ya is to play Brawl and compare it to Melee. You'll understand what I'm talking about. Maybe..... Anyways, I'm not going to continue to argue over my own opinion whether you agree with me or not.

Yes, I have played the game. Smash Balls never seemed to appear more frequently than other items. It might just seem that way because it's always a big deal when the Smash Ball shows up but some of the smaller items might just go unnoticed. And if you think it's so unfair, why not just turn it off?

Yes, I'll agree with you that Smash Balls appear more frequently in Brawl than they do in Melee. Probably because they aren't even in Melee so I don't see how that is relevant. And how frequently something shows up isn't an opinion.

    Have a nice day.

I'll explain your source of error here. You see when I mentioned the words "You mean from low to high right?" it meant that I was referring to the item menu that you posted beneath me. You cannot mistake my question as I have no idea what I'm talking about when I state something that is on the item menu!

Compare the Smash Ball to the Golden Hammer, the beam sword, the bat, the soccer ball, the fan, the green shell ( I would add red shell but there is none in this game. Which should be another reason why Brawl is lacking might I add) and notice the obscurity between how frequent they show up. Trust me, I can go an entire match without a Mr. Saturn and get like 3 Smash Balls in a match. Also, I turn off all the items in the game but I don't always have control of items or no items every single match I play. See, questions like these makes me wonder if you just look for sentences to attack me on without reading the full response....

    >.> Really funny, I guess I have to elaborate everything I say on these forums huh? Okay, play Melee with items on and then play Brawl with items on. Notice how crazy the items can get in Brawl over Melee. Every item in the N64 and Cube version were avoidable and are fair. Brawl on the other hand has items that can totally screw up the playing field. See how it feels when you're playing online and you end up losing because you couldn't get the smash ball in time. My point in that is, it requires no skill to win! You take away all the skill it takes to play the game that way!

You just contradicted yourself there buddy. I guess the only way I can prove my point to you is if I showed you how cheep the smash ball is myself... I hope you have a nice day too!

    Don't you agree, Zach?

I just want to throw in (don't want to get into a heated debate) that I don't think the smash ball is that unfair. Some people I've seen are completely awful at using them at the right time. I've also had many battles where the smash ball was gotten by one person, knocked out of him, grabbed by another, who also had it knocked out of him, and so on until it just disappeared. So in my opinion, it takes some amount of skill to use the smash ball.

As for frequency, I have no problem on medium.

Foremost is the chromatic substance accomplishment to Picklegod! Pickle contributes to all parts of the forum, stays astir, and mostly is awful to everyone he meets. A wonderful, intelligent somebody, Pickle testament now better us with every day NF decisions. Approval Picklgod!

No. You said, "I can never go without a match without finding a smash ball on the stage when the items are on." You made it sound like you had a problem with just one Smash Ball showing up, let alone multiple. That's why I brought up the question of you switching the item off completely.

If you're referring to online matches in which you don't have control over the items that will appear, then how do you know it's always on low? You don't. Three is a pretty low number to me, by the way. Depends on how long these matches were. Yes, I am reading the full responses.

It takes skill to dodge items. Not everything is avoidable but it's not impossible. You can catch items that are thrown at you, use the shield button, use the landscaping to your advantage, etc. In online, I recommend not playing random matches because no one has control over the items that show up. In friends matches, try to compensate on which items are in the match with whoever is hosting.

How in the world did I contradict myself? What did I claim was my own opinion? And how cheap the Smash Ball is depends on the character it's being used with and how well the player works with it.

    Argument done.
