The following are my ideas for a variant of the Hyrule Castle stage from Super Smash Bros. on Nintendo64 to be played on in Brawl. Many of you probably remember one of the most loved stages from the first Smash Bros., Hyrule Castle. ![]() This arena boasted something similar to the Hyrule Castle from Zelda: Ocarina of Time, with Death Mountain seen in the background. This stage was nowhere to be found in the next Smash Bros. game, Melee, or the most recent one, Brawl. Just as plenty of other fans, I had wanted the stage to appear in some way in Brawl. My ideas where to revamp it for the more recent Hyrule Castle seen in Zelda: Twilight Princess on the Wii. ![]() The citadel is under the twilight here. The layout would look like the Hyrule Castle stage we know, except the sepia atmosphere and black particles of the twilight would be present. I think that this would work rather well, and would prove to be a very fun and balanced arena, unlike a number of ones that did make the cut in Brawl. In the SSB64 version of Hyrule Castle, occasionally a tornado would rampage through the stage and suck up any player it came into contact with. To replace this, I think the Twilit Kargarok would be perfect. ![]() Link faced many of these flying beasts as a wolf on the rooftops of Hyrule Castle. These creatures would fly down, screeching in their recognizable distorted roar, and glide into a path across the stage, barreling into any player it runs into. That's about all I've got. I thought this would have worked perfectly, what do you think? Alternatively, since Toon Link is in the game, it could be a Hyrule Castle fashioned after The Wind Waker. ![]() Again, the layout would still look very similar to the original setup of Hyrule Castle. The notable thing about this stage could be kind of like the Castle Siege stage from Fire Emblem that's in Brawl, and you would eventually fall below and inside of the castle. In the background would be the hero's statue, just like in The Wind Waker. Perhaps Moblins and Darknuts could play a role in the brawl too, since they are also present inside. |

I dunno, zelda stages suck IMO especially that temple thing since it takes forever to KO somebody since you have to chase them down half the time cant believe they brought that back |

Hyrule Castle was never that great, though my Stage Maker recreation of it is awesome. You guys should see it. I like Hyrule Castle. Top part great for top kills, right side great for top and right kills, lower left great for sending them down and out without even trying or sending them to the bottom, and the upper left is right next to the edge for fun moments. I miss Termina level a bit, but I suppose it had it coming. Bridge of Eldin is a lot of fun and Pirate Ship just suffers from the ground being made of Jello, ie you can bounce right out. |

I never really liked Temple because of its size either. But I wouldn't say all Zelda stages aren't any good. Great Bay from Melee and Pirate Ship from Brawl are close to my favorite arenas in the two of those games. |

The Song of Time doesn't work. I know, I've tried.

I didn't really mind the Castle stage in Melee, though I did find it annoying that somehow most of my smashes sent people into the cave area... The Bridge of Eldin is too flat for my likeing though and they could have done a much better area. The Pirate Ship, however, is fun to fight on. |

The Bridge of Eldin isn't bad; The occasional bomb adds some strategic play. As for the Temple stage, I actually liked it alot, it provided a big arena for flour player battles without overcrowding it. A new stage based on the TP Hyrule Castle would look very, very nice, imo. |

Crazy thing but i also had the kariko stage idea before i even came accross these forums. I would think it plays like Delfino Plaza stage where a platform takes tou around the level. maybe get town music from the Zelda games for stage music? |
