"But it's not as about platforming, rather fighting enemies with a variety of move styles to add diversity to the gameplay and tight Coop Features where if Player 2 goes off the screen by Player 1 getting ahead of it and not because of an enemy, he'll become a ball of light and head to player 1. It's fails to be enough like Mario and Sonic tbh."

    ...I said that?

Falco, though... Yeah, he's a clone.

Fail. I use Falco a lot, and he definitely plays and feels significantly different than wolf or fox, so by your own definition, he is not a clone.

    My point exactly.

Hey, if it wasn't for the ability for Player Two to "warp" to player one, co-op would be very annoying and sooo many lives would be wasted.

    I beg to differ.
There are many clones in Super Smash Bros, whenever I'm looking at the character roster, I just get depressed when I actually want something with friggin' diversity. It's like, 3 characters right off the bat are clones. Fox, Falco, Wolf. Sure, one of them might be a little slower, or have a different Up+B, but ffs, they're essentially the same exact thing.
That's the only reason why I actually enjoy playing with Sonic, Snake, Olimar and Pokemon Trainer, because they're some fresh, something new, and not some pussy clone with a different model and maybe a speed change.
Why would they remove clones, just to add in more? It doesn't make any sense. They should have just kept Pichu, Dr. Mario, Mewtwo..

.. On topic! The review was good. I didn't hate SSE, but I didn't love it either. The FMV's were awesome as balls, the levels were interesting and had some nostalgia to them, the music was fantastic.. but as for the random "sup, screen stoppin', time to fight yo'" crap.. It could've done without, same goes with the maze.. geeze.

I've thought that too. I mean, even though Toon Link is slightly different in appearence and movement, doesn't mean that he's worthy of being put in the game. He didn't hardly even have a tiny bit of a role in the SSE, so really, he was a pointless character. IMO, anyways.

If they were going to put in ANY alternate form of a character (such as Dr. Mario, Mario or Toon Link, Link), they at least could have put in someone who would make a fresh, interesting character. Like Paper Mario. I wanted him in sooo badly. So what if the Zelda series only had three characters and the Mario series had five? Paper Mario would have been such an interesting character... He could use all sorts of paper attacks that he does on his games. He could even use Pixls!

I also wanted Princess Shroob in there.... They really could have given her a unique moveset.

So what if we would have had to wait another month or two for the game's release while they worked on new characters? Well, maybe some impatient people would get mad, but really, why should they? Would you rather have a "pretty good game" right now, or a "perfect game" in a month?

Well, Paper Mario being a "fresh, interesting character" is entirely opinion. Some people may think that Toon Link is a "fresh, interesting character".

Toon Link could have had a completely different moveset as well. But he didn't. So I doubt Paper Mario would, either.

Princess Shroob? Are you kidding me? Talk about a stupid decision if she was in there. Hm, nearly every other character in the game came from a major game series. Taking a character from one game alone, a character who had a small role in the game, would be a mistake. Even if they could have a unique moveset, that does not mean they would be a good character.

You can NOT make a game perfect in a month. Heck, you can hardly do ANYTHING to a game in the month before its release. Also, last time I checked, adding a character that not everyone cares about to a game would not do anything to make a game near perfect. Yes, Smash Bros. is great, but once again, no where near perfect.

Did I say that she would be a good character?

No. At least not here, anyways...

Look at what I said. "I also wanted Princess Shroob in there". I was just saying what I wanted. No need to start ragging on me for just saying what I want.

Princess Shroob DID have a major role in her game. Hey, Lucas only had one game too, and his was only released in Japan. ;o

Are you mad at me or something?

I was speaking in generalizations. I never said adding Princess Shroob in would make the game perfect! I was talking about the clone characters. Either giving them new movesets or replacing them entirely.

Oh, and yes, Paper Mario WOULDN'T be a clone of Mario. Giving Paper Mario, who has very nearly NONE of the same moves as normal Mario, a normal Mario moveset would be like giving normal Mario a moveset based on guns and a sword.

Also, don't get onto me for my opinions, because it looks like half of your post is opinionated too.

But why would you want a character in a game if they were horrible?

Do you think Ness being in both previous Smash Bros. games has anything to do with that?

I never said he would be a clone of Mario. But, looking back on how half of the characters are clones (by your definition), he would be.

Did I ever get on to you for your opinions? I merely stated that a character being fresh and interesting was an opinion.

Who says she'd be horrible? You? Okay, well that's an opinion. Not a fact.

What does Ness have to do with anything? He had nothing to do with Mother 3. Lucas had nothing to do with Mother 2. Is it just because they're from the same game series? I could turn that around in Princess Shroob's favor, you know.

You're right, you never said he would be a clone of Mario. I never said that you said that. You said that you DOUBT he would have his own moveset. I just said that he would have his own moveset, and they'd be crazy not to give him his own moveset. Which... They've been crazy enough to do with some other characters... Humph.

I expected what it is, but it's not fun either way. A Smash Bros. game cannot be an adventure game

Then WHY is there “ADVENTURE MODE”? <_<

XD. There is an adventure mode. It sucks. It sucks because smash bros is not built well for an adventure game. And really, SSE is more of a platformer. This brings us to Lk's point.

Alright, after weeks of not playing the game, I've decided to lower the score, because it's definitely not as great as it ages.
