I've almost got every negima volume out so far, I just need 3 more, then I wait till the final two come out. I'm sort of excited about completing the set. It'll be the first time I've stuck comitted to a manga series. You guys have comitment troubles with manga? or anime for that matter?

I can say I don't have commitment troubles. I just have so many commitments that I can't get many volumes of one series at one time. Once I get the remaining 2 Death Note volumes, that will free up 2 slots for other manga, which I plan on using for Love Hina.

I hear you there. I have so many I have stopped letting myself look at new mangas till I get at least fairly caught up with what I have now. That coupled with the fact that I'm starting to want to get the FMA anime in Japanese w/ sub, and some other anime out there, I've got my work cut out for me. >.<

I've got like, 3 more Negima volumes to get, then I'm done. Then, I might work on completing Naruto or Full Metal Alchemist.

Rather annoyingly I've caught up with all the released mangas in the ones I'm collecting save for Death Note. They next volumes are all coming out in september though, so I can hang tight.

In other news, I've started watching "Shin Getter Robo". It's awesome, classic 1970's super robot action ( "Getter-BEEEEEEEEEEAM!" "GETTER-TOMOHAWK!" ) combined with modern animation and a serious / dark tone. Not to be missed, although it gets a bit violent in places (watch one of the main characters poke a man's eyes out, then cut his ears off, then punch his face until it caves in).

I love all those old Anime, you know, the ones without Morals.

Anyway, I'm probably going to start the FMA DVD collection by getting volume 4, according to my cousin, it's the best volume next to 13, but 13 is too far into the story.

I think modern anime still has morals, you just have to be smart enough to find them, which sort of defeats the object of Morals.

Traditionally, starting at the beginning is usually the best place. I mean, if you want the complete collection then you're going to need to get 1,2 and 3 at some point, right? Plus, the beginning is different from the manga, so it'd be best to get the DVDs so it makes sense.

We were saying how the old animés never had morals. It was good VS bad about 100% of the time. Expecially the robot shows. It wasn't until Gundam that robot shows tried to make a point. Now we've got shows like Nadesico which despite being action orientated actually have very serious messages about the nature of war.

You'd be quick to think about that, but I don't know why but all the golden oldies, like Dragon Ball never grasped justice so easily. Take Oolong for example. The perverted pig. He is constantly pestering Bulma for her 'panties'. But wait a minute, he's helping Goku fight the Red Ribbon Army.

Me too. I think you're talking about the Manga, and from what I've read, it's pretty good. The anime's music is great; I swear, L's theme increases your performance in Tetris.

Death Note is an incredible series ;)

I've almost finished the Gundam Seed Destiny series, just need the first book 0.o it was pretty good, definitely my fav Gundam series.

I'd have to say that Naruto is my favourite series thus far.

I <3 Death Note. It's pretty unique, and if you haven't noticed it isn't 'combat-based' like many Anime and Manga of today.

Very true, and it's still regarded as one of the best series today.

Anyone heard of D.Grayman? It's not really that popular, but it's got a great story, and a darker theme.
