Yet another browser for Windows. The grey skin is as ugly as sin, but at least it's better than the brushed metal appearance of earlier versions of Safari. Still, I don't see many reasons to use it on Windows other than testing how you site will look on a Mac...

I always loved Safari at my school.

Opera is seriously slower than all the other ones? I'm surprised.

    Paul's dumb Alex is cool

No, Opera isn't. It's been proven to be the fastest. I might download Safari later on, simply out of curiosity.

Now you make my iBook G4 look lame. You can make Widgets on that one can't you?

I never really liked Safari. For me it's about as fast as Firefox, but I hate it's design.

Actually, my brother downloaded Safari just last night. I prefer Firefox, but the fact that it's *now for Windows too is good for all you Safari-fans :).

I grabbed it as soon as the news came up.

Abso-fecking-lutely horrendous. It's a good thing it's just a Beta at the moment- as things stand, it's the Quicktime of Web Browsers.

Edit: Although, here's hoping that they'll follow this up with a release of a Windows Port of the Cocoa API so we can get some decent Macintosh apps on Windows for a change. Adium, anyone?

... there's no difference in software. G4/G5 only refers to the processor.

People who use Firefox for Macs are silly. It's slow, resource hungry and ugly as sin. If you want to use a lightweight, Mac-specific browser that uses the same rendering engine, then for Lenin's sake use Camino!

See, that just refers to me. There are 3 Mac users here, and I'm the only one who uses Firefox for it. Yeah, I agree, Camino looks quite nice. Whoops, I meant the new upgrade coming out, I think it's... Leopard?

Of course, I feel compelled to point out that the next major release of Firefox will be a native cocoa application instead of the horrendous XUL hybrid it is now.

    So, basically, less ugly.
