I dislike Bush because of his excessively bellicose foreign policy; Saddam was our whipping boy, and guess what? We put him there in the first place. He allows personal vendettas to get in the way of his leadership (the only clear and remotely sane motive that I can think of for Bush wanting a war in Iraq is to kill the people who made an attempt on his father's life) and makes America looks incredibly stupid to the rest of the world.

Frankly, I think he's lost touch with the world around him. It'll be good to see a fresh face in office in '08.

Bush became president ten years after the Gulf War.

Wasn't there an assassination attempt? I could've sworn I remembered hearing about one.

I apologize for talking a little bit out of my backside on info that I haven't looked up or researched...recent history is less important to me in the face of school work and prepping for college and such.

I should pull out a book and see if I can remember what I was talking about.

Yes, we tried to assassinate someone who had killed hundreds of people and who had tried to take over surrounding nations, after betraying us. Is there something wrong with that? Not to mention that it had little to do with Bush.

It's not George W. Bush. Here's why. Tribulation takes place in 7 years. Guess what he's only got this and next year left in office. That's 2 years of the needed 7. Also, this could differ in your views but I feel that the Rapture takes place before the tribulation. Therefore it should've happened in 2001 at earliest. Author fails.

Ha Ha! You believe in a supernatural being!

Yes I do, and I'm seeing more and more truth that your a dumbass as you post.

    Reasons why your post sucks:

    1. That Bush-Antichrist website is clearly a joke. It's possibly a parody of the ridiculous conspiracy theories that people come up with (see: Loose Change).
    2. "Ha ha you believe in a supernatural being" is a quote from the South Park episode on atheism. It's not meant to be taken seriously.
    3. The Book of Revelations is complete *censored* (o no flaem!!). I'd like to hear one good reason why you believe in that thing. And "cuz i'm a christian lol" doesn't cut it.
    4. Calling someone a dumbass means that you lost your right to turn around in your next post and accuse the other person of "flaming." Unless you enjoy being a hypocrite, that is.

As for the rest of the deep political discussion going on in this thread, both sides have hardly backed up their opinions, so all of you lose. I'd really like to hear some of the reasoning for why Bush is a good president, by the way.

OK, first of all please learn the difference between "assassinate" and "declare war on." We didn't try to assassinate him, we declared war on him.

Second of all, that's not even what I was talking about; I was talking about a statement Bush made back in 2002, justifying going after Saddam because, "Well, he is the guy who tried to kill my dad." So even if it never happened, Bush Jr. seems to think it did.

There was no immediate reason to go to war, and there were plenty of other problem spots in the world that we could have chosen to deal with if we were going on a moral crusade to try and better the planet. Why aren't we in Darfur stopping the warlords from sexually assaulting women and killing off massive amounts of innocent people? I mean, that seems just as pressing, if not moreso, than what Saddam was up to.

    Just sayin'.
Ten thousand Swedes crept through the weeds,
    With one Norwegian following after,
The dust from the weeds killed the Swedes,
And the Norwegian died of laughter.

I missed the part where anyone said he was a good president.

Maybe instead of complaining about who's opinions are and are not backed up, you should start "backing up" your own.

There was an attempted assassination at one point.

When did I say that I was an atheist? Since when do you need to be an atheist to not believe that an "anti-christ" is going to randomly appear one day and start killing everyone?

The whole concept of the book is ridiculous, that's why I don't believe in it (along with millions of other reasonable people out there). In fact, only a minority of Christians believe in that book. If a Pastafarian decided to make a book predicting the apocalypse, should that be taken any less seriously than what's in Revelations? I really don't see how your post was able to retort what I said at all, especially since the question wasn't even directed towards you. Was turning around what I said supposed to be clever or something?

You're just nitpicking on the word choice that I used. No one actually used the word "good" to describe him, but defending him like you've been doing implies that you think favorably of him. If that's not the case, than please explain your position further instead of having people what side you're on.

And no, I don't need to "back up my opinion" because I haven't provided an opinion on this subject yet. What are you talking about?

I said that he is not a bad president, not that he is a good one.
