I was wondering. I noticed someone ask for someone to recolor Wolf O'Donnel to be black fur instead of gray. I wondered if this idea would/could work to create a recolored render. Steps I think could work: Step 1: First you need the initial render/graphic and an idea of what you want to recolor. Save it as 2 different files. Step 2: Ok. Now you want to work. First using paint* use the eraser to erase most of the character(the parts that you want to be recolored; leaving the parts you don't want to be colored there.) Now save this file. Step 3: Now open gimp* and open the other saved file that you haven't erased anything on. Use the color balance to change to the shade you want your character. Step 4: Go back to Paint* and copy the file containing the non recolored parts and place them on the graphic as close to where they were as possible. You should end up with a recolored character. (I haven't tried this out seeing as i'm lazy) Tada. No credit, don't say it was your idea if you would please. I don't doubt that someone hasn't come up with this before. It's so simple that I bet i'm the millionth person to dream of this. * = Any other program, these are just the ones I have and would use. |

When in Rome...

I tried it and it workd, although, when I recoloured the render without parts erased, it was easier to turn it black and white then recolour, thens tick the erased part render on top, but either way it does work;

Yay. I am finally somewhat useful. Even as flawed as I may be I finally got one thing somewhat right. Thank you SV. You just made me the happiest guy on NF.

If you meant 'dun' as don't then download Gimp it's free and it's easy to use. If you meant 'dun' as 'already' then you can do the same thing, i think, with Photoshop. If you meant 'dun' as in that PS does it already, you'll have to explain to me. |

If anyone sees Kirby12 wearing the black Wolf avatar at WWC. Tell me. It'll make me proud to see him use it.
