http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F2UZDHHDhog What are your opinions on this? I honestly think this is a load of crap and a huge waste of money. The ribbon would be destroyed within a few days I'm sure. Tons of space debris hit the Earth every day at hundreds of thousands of miles per hour. All it would take to destroy this would be something the size of a football/soccer ball. On top of that, planes on earth might fly into it on accident, or it could be destroyed during a hurricane or tsunami. |

Yeah, it looks really stupid. I even laughed. That elevator will be destroyed as soon as it is built. Lol.

What a piece of crap. That's got about as much chance surviving in space than a human without a space suit. Keep them on Earth. |

It said 30x stronger than steel though, so I'm sure it would break from a soccer ball sized rock. That sounded so cool until the man said: ribbon through the stars... |
<- That isn't what I look like. Windmillman came over and screwed it up and I'm too lazy to fix it.![]() Spoiler: click to toggle | |
