In a way yes, In a way no. Tommorow I have to watch my little brother and sister, and sadly i'd rather be at school than do that.

What is it with Candaians, taking a three day weekend, just for some silly festival? Us English don't eve get one day off.

Actually, that's not true. Me and Jonzai have a day weeked, but it has nothig to do with Thanksgiving.

I don't see why school won't just give kids the entire week off... I had to go to school Monday and Tuesday. I've got the rest of the week off. :CTT:

No, its not more important. Here in Texas we get 5 days off for Thanksgiving, but for Christmas we get 2 weeks off.

For Thanksgiving, we get a 3 day weekend, then for Christmas, we get two weeks. And then we get a week in March, and July & August off.

American's celebrate Thanksgiving because it is a holiday for the Pilgrams that migrated over to America looking for religious freedom, thus it is basically the 'birth' of America. England doesn't celebrate it because the Pilgrams didn't like Britain. I guess we could thank Britain and such for being mean and resulting in America being settled.

And that IS what thanksgiving is and how it started. In America as well as Canada.

But the real reason we celebrate Thanksgiving is to thank God for all the things he's given us.....yes I do go to church!

    I agree with loz. :P

I just want tomorrow to end. Then I can start my 3 day weekend even though I have no clue why we have Friday off.
