Being an avid watcher of Lost, the popular television series, and also an english university student, I find myself more and more drawing comparisons, of the books I've read, and the Tv I've watched.

One such comparison was pointed out to me by one of my tutors in Uni, the novel "The third policeman" by Northern irish ( ) novelist Flann O'brien, is in fact the basis for the plot in Lost.

I don't want to spoil things for anyone, but simply type "lost and the third policeman" into google, and you can see for yourselves the comparisons. Or even better , read the book, it's fantastic, although it is a humorous novel, and may not suit american tastes in comedy.

    I hate that 'Lost'.

But I love that 'Third Policeman'.

So the ending is the same then, eh what? Now I never have to watch the show, thank god.

That's the theory, It seems pretty sure, especially if you look at the sites, that go through all the evidence. The producers have acknowledged the links, even putting a copy of the book on desmonds bed in one episode.

    Paul's dumb Alex is cool

Wow. I love the show. I'm more into Heroes this season though. And I can't believe the season finale is next week. >_<. I don't want to look at the 'spoilers' though.
