Well if you believe IGN this new control in development could take way the big advantage the Wii has and enable Wii games to be played on other consoles and the PC. It will work like the Wiimote but uses more advanced ultrasonic technology, possibly making it even more accurate. IGN say it's great but I wonder how much the cost will be and whether this can really work as well as something Nintendo have put so much effort into. The wiimote is way more efficient for motion sensing games. I sure as hell wouldn't want a to use a seperate controller(tennis racket, golf club etc) for each game. Not to mention how much room it will take up. And how are you supposed to use the bowling ball in a small space? |

In development you say? If you can call "in development" made 11 years ago then sure. |

Then play with out the extention, Matt! That way you actually have the ability to make sure your club is actually on the ground. I mean, the Wiimote won't be able to give you any indication of if it's touching the ground (Spare that low quality speaker), but with an actual accesory, you can actually lower it utill it hits the real ground. It's just innovation not made by Nintendo. Or as a Nintendo fan would call it, a Gimmick, as only Nintendo can innovate. |

The only innovation is the use of ultrasonic tech, it is basically designed to copy Nintendo so yeah it's not 'innovation'. I still don't get how this is going to convert every Wii game in the way IGN says but they were the one's who suggested it not me. |

If it's true that it can play any Wii game on any console, then the Wii will lose. But of course, it'll probably cost $1,000 to get it, unless it becomes very cheap. But if it comes out and works, I'll want to murder the human being that thought of making it. |
