Australian Arasor International and American Novalux have made new HDTV displays that they claim will use a quarter of the power and cost half the price of normal HDTVs. They say ordinary TVs use only 35% of what the eye can see but they aim to get 90%. This would be amazing if it is true and would also possibly help the HD-supporting consoles.
