I was reading the latest nintendo power and what should I find? None other than blatant ESRB propaganda...I find it funny that they're trying to cover their ass for the hot coffee mod... [Note, I don't want them to have to play every game to completion, nor do I want them to be replaced because of stupid legislation....however their fight for their jobs is still humorous to me either way.]

It's completly ludacris....I mean what gamer DOESN'T know the ESRB?? They put a rating on every game...

    The text reads:

Because Sarah plays video games there is a group of people making sure the games she plays are rated. They're called the Entertainment Software Rating Board, but that's the long way of saying it. Usually they're just called the ESRB. They check games to help make sure it's right for you, your older brother, Mom and Dad, anybody. Somebody's got to do it and they're the ones that do.

    ESRB ratings are overrated.

I've been playing M games since I was a little kid and I turned out to be a regular sex-crazed, excessively violent, drug-abusing member of soceity. I think that's enough proof that video games don't affect children in a negative way.

    Take that, Jack Thompson.

...if you think for an instant that I am going to back down and let you monopolise the forum, then you are wrong.

    SMAAAASHH!!
The ESRB can slap "YOU MUST BE 18 TO PLAY THIS" on every game, but dumshit parents will always buy them for their kids. This ad isn't for gamers, it's for the parents of gamers that buy their games. It's telling them to actually pay attention to what the ESRB says about the game, so their kid doesn't end up like a drug addiccted crim.

I agree with you, but this site claims the ads are for gamers...against all logic
