Can you imagine the ESRB playing every game to completion before rating it? Soon you might not have to.

In the spirit of communism, the government is planning to step in to the private sector and stifle capitalism with crushing and hilarious legislation.

I think this is because of that San Andreas glitch that enabled the bestselling game to become a porn movie. Of course it'll never work but that should get pointed out in time before the ESRB try to 'complete' Tetris, as the article mentions.
    ...

Yeah pretty sigs and all that

There's nothing wrong with the ratings, so why change them. Sure, GTASA had that error, but that was because people with no lives discovered a little something that would take forever to get to in the first place.

    .

I would laugh if they had this law when F-Zero GX came out. With its insane difficulty it would never get a rating.

Hopefully this doesn't delay games release just because they aren't rated.

I would want game developers to create a game that would be secretly impossible just to show them their system would blow.

television gets cruder and more offensive every year. (it seems)
the movie industry ratings aren't questioned.

so why *censored* with Video Games?

And considering the War in Iraq, social security, why would they bother with videogames? You'd think they'd accomplish stuff in order of priority, but all the congressmen really care about is getting re-elected each term.

Becuase its mainly the older generation in the high political positions at the moment, most of them never gre up playing video games, and mya have never even played one before s they don't really understand them and how similar they are to the movie and tv industry.

pretty much. and those older people in power know that if they tell a group of middle-aged parents that they are going to crack down on videogame content, it will sound like a good thing, and might win them votes.

Why the heck is everyone getting so mad at video games!? Maybe one kid will go out and kill a person because of a video game, but it will barely cause any deaths. Yeah, the war in Iraq... How many deaths now? Gosh, I just want to say something to those idiots in their big white house.

    I like Ramen Hood's statement, though. :P

There can always be something more to a video game that you cannot see... I think every video game I have played so far has deserved their rating, anyways.

You know that one Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas "glitch?" How does a glitch involve naked girls, anyways? How can that be a glitch? And what exactly did they "do?" Sex? I thought you could already do that in the car or something... I have not done it yet because I do not know how to do it, and I really don't care. A bunch of hookers in a video game? 8X

Hmm, even completing San Andreas doesn't get you sex, so it's really pointless since you wouldn't find the bad stuff anyway. Maybe if they ever misrate a game, they could just change it. It's a lot simpler.

wow. the way you worded your post. :P XD

It was something some hacker found embedded on the disc. Referred to as the Hot Coffee Mod or something like that...It allows you to participate in a sex

I don't know who called it that, but someone did.

and yes I believe you can get hookers, but you don't see anything....just that your health meter goes up....and considering hookers...that seems to be the opposite of what should happen.

Besides, it is completly ludacris to base all attacks against videogames on just ONE.

That'd be like taking the goriest, most horrificly demented movie out there, and saying that all movies are like that.

I've always considered one murder to be bad enough.
