I'll probably end up buying it if it gets good ratings.

    Yeah, new characters, Wi-Fi...

And I don't have DKR, so I might as well get this one.

Well, they had to, since the rights of Banjo and Conker still are with Rare, and since they are owned by Microsoft, well...

any rare game with nintendo charactors is own by nintenod such as dk country and dk 64. goldeneye and perfect dark games are owned by rare.

didykong racing is a goood idea for a port on ds but we already got mario kart with wifif so it might not be much use.

    Trixie Kong...

...While that's better than Nintendo Power's guess of "Daisy Kong", I'm still going to tell you her name's Dixie Kong.

And seeing as DKR was better than MK64, I don't see why DKRDS won't be better than MKDS.

    Pretty subjective, I'd say.

I'd say that Mario Kart 64 was altogether the better game. It didn't have such a lousy framerate for starters. The track design was far more exciting than DKR's to boot- I'd take Frappe Snowland over any of DKR's snow levels in an instant.

Meh I never liked the original anyways, it was kinda short and the tracks were designed confusingly, my friend said it was really great though so... Maybe it's not my type of game, but some people definitely like it.

I wonder where these bosses come from? Are they just confined to one room? What do they eat?

I don't remember any "bad framerate". Not to mention how impossible to play Mario Kart 64 is.

Besides, Mario Kart 64's levels sucked. The railroad one, for example. Not to mention all the other "exciting" *censored* piles some consider to be "really good".

    Boulder Canyon ftw!

SM64DS didn't really have much touch screen use. They definitely need to update the graphics. Have you seen all the pologon figures in the screenshots and videos?

And that would be because it was an N64 game!

At least 4 new videos. Looks... Great. Like the new cave in the overworld (As seen in "Training", which looks to be Taj's plane challange), don't like the look of the balloon minigame.

    Boulder Canyon ftw!

It didn't have horrible framerate, but it did drop below it's average on a few levels at certain times. (When theres like 5 weapons launched and you run into a wall and attempt to turn around.)

Mario Kart 64 had a great deal better control though. The handling for DKR was unbearable, especially with the plane and the hovercraft. Mario Kart 64 had only one type of vehicle, yes, but it was easy to control it. The levels in DKR weren't impressive either. Lava levels, Ice levels, jungle levels, Mario Kart already had them. DKR just took them, added in a few obstacles and the ability to take to the air, as well as the near impossible controls, and threw them into their game. Mario Kart 64 had amazing levels. The Toads Turnpike was fun as hell, and that long jump on Mario's Circuit made aiming crucial. (Miss, and you ram into the gian hills...) Though, I did love the Chirstmas themed night time level in DKR.

The weapons sucked ass in DKR as well. The puddles weren't effective (you could slide out of them), the missiles, even the homing ones, could easily be dodged, and the boosts, if not controlled presicely, would take you into the wall.

DKRDS should be better than MKDS because it is comming out later, and it's Wifi sounds alot better. Plus, it has course creation. Banjo will be missed, but this one has Dixie and Tiny, as well as the original roster, including one of the best characters of all time, Krunch.

I'm really looking forward to this game. The reason I liked the original more than Mario Kart 64 was because of the adventure mode and boss battles. I never really liked the music in either, but I also think Diddy Kong Racing had some catchier tunes.
