Nice. Before I saw this, I thought Betelgeuse was the largest star. But compared to the "Unnamed Abell 3266 Fireball", It's MUCH smaller.

That's amazing! I never knew there were stars that large in the universe. I'm sure if we keep searching we'll eventually find one that makes the Abell 3266 fireball a pixel in comparison

... Wow. I bet if the Earth was big as the Unnamed Abell, it would take Forest Gump 10,000 years to run it. :o

It takes light over a month to cross it. It's farther away from us than it is big, and it's losing a suns worth of fuel every hour, but is gaining more power as it takes stars with it.

There might be, or we might be the only life-forms for an infinite amount of miles.

I take that back then, it would take him 100,000 years to run it. :P

Umm...farther away than it is big I'm sure...and hope. lol I'll look it up in a sec.

Edit: I could only find that the thing is 3 million light years big, and that it's more millions of light years away. Plus, it's falling into a black hole, so we don't have to worry about it.

Check out the new pic! The fireball now has a name, and a new blob which astronomers believe is so far away that it's a primitive universe.
