Use this to find out your political views and where you stand in comparison to the World leaders.

    I'm Economic Left/Right: -8.13
    Social Libertarian/Authoritarian: -6.26.
This means that i'm more left wing than Nelson Mandela and the Dalai Lama and more libertarian than them too. I believe, economically, in a state-controlled market and, politically, in the rights of the individual - an anarcho-communist!

In all my dirty liberal ranting I forgot to give you something to debate.
    1) What did you get. Is it accurate?
2)Discuss the benefits and problems of a free market and state controlled market. What should we have?

I'll give my 2 cents latert, when i have time.

i'm not quite sure but I think Katz posted one of these and I got pretty close to 0,0. This isn't really a debate either.

Edit: I got 0.38, -0.41in this thread: http://n-forums.com/index.php?showtopic=8394&st=10 which doesn't really say much...

    I got:
    Economic Left/Right: -1.75
    Social Libertarian/Authoritarian: 0.46

I'm not sure what it means, you want to explain it?

edit: We should have the free market. I don't care to go in depth with an explanation though.

The 'debate' tacked on to the end of your post doesn't really save the thread. Moved to HQ.

As for the free market/state controlled market thing... the obvious benefits of a state controlled market... which I'm guessing you're meaning as a command economy, is that theoretically it allows the use of land and resources for the betterment of the state, not an individual or corporation. Should this be coupled with a strong democratic system, then (and again theoretically) it should be able to in turn benefit the people in general. However, this would require pinpoint accuracy and precision as far as planning is concerned. Should the government foul up, it may not be able to rectify it's problems quickly, and either shortages of certain goods, or surpluses of another might occur.

At this point, I believe it would be appropriate to remind you that Pope John II was pope from 533 to 535. Do you mean Pope John Paul II?
