    OLOLOLOLOLOLO!!!1one!
I was talking to a few of my friends last night about video games and things like that and one of them says to me

"Did you hear what play station is doing with there games. They are not letting you sell them back to the stores. Does that mean no more used games?"

I told him I new about that and explained to him how it work. He then goes on to say to me

"There is NO way I’m going to get a PS3 now I'm going to get a Wii. Its games look so much better its system looks so much better and it won’t cost me a months worth of pay checks"

I found this very surprising coming from him.

This friend of mine swore off Nintendo since the N64. He told me that he would never get a Nintendo system since the N64 was so bad and made him so angry.

There have also been friends at my school that have been converted by the Wii.

One of my friends at my school loves the Xbox thought it was the greatest thing ever and he got the xbox360 the day it came out. He was one of the first 5 that got it at the EB he went to.

The other morning he says to me that he is really exciting about SSBB and I then asked

"I thought you said that you hated Nintendo and its child like games?"

He of course denies this whole heartedly and tells me that he was always planning on getting the Wii.

About a week ago I showed him a video of the Wii controller for the first time. <_<

All of this makes me wonder. What does the Wii have that makes it convert people to buy it... or is it what don't the other systems have that makes people not want them.

It's hard to say why someone wants one system over another. It could be loyalty, love of a specific game that comes out for that system and that system only, that systems style of game play, the characters that the system owns. I think people pick there system for different reason and it seem that Nintendo learned how to make a system that everyone can love. It has all the right parts.

I think Nintendo successfully pulled off a whispering campaign. Everyone just sort of knows about Wii and kind of wants it, even though they may know nothing about it at all. Those sly devils.

I'd just like to add that Xbox and (presumably) Playstation are targeting the 'hardcore' gamer. I remember the last time that happened. I think they called it the Dreamcast. :O!

I'm still not looking forward to pulling my wii out of the wrapper in front of my family though D:

Okay let's do it in pairs:

PS3 versus Wii: Wii wins because you can still sell and buy games at stores like Game Crazy.
XBOX360 vs. Wii: Wii wins because of innovation, 360 is juts a really hyped up XBOX.

I think it's pretty obvious what the thing is, seeing as we've been discussing it the last few months now.
~ The wii control is totally different and original.
~ The wii is so much cheaper and realistically affordable.
~ Nintendo make so many good games; SSBB in particular.

Of course don't be fooled, that while wii may be more popular than the Gamecube, the PS3 is still apparently most popular. It seems like Nintendo may have overtaken Microsoft in popularity now though.
    ...

Yeah pretty sigs and all that
