I had this great idea to invent a nintendo forums card game, it could be made using the apprentice patch on pojo, and we could distribute cards easily using nintendo dollars. (And if you think there's a lack of members to make it interesting don't worry, i'm inviting new peoples and am encouraing them to invite MORE peoples..) So how would you like to see it? If so all you got to do is one little thing, tell me what nintendo character you'd want to be on your card so we could tell it was you. It doesn't have to be a hero, it could be an npc, a random monster, a boss, WHATEVER! (The more original, the better. I'll even reward originality with a better card..) About the only thing that's out is Final Fantasy and other rpg crap. That's more of a Squaresoft thing and rpgs have a tendecy to have dbz syndrome.. Big Evil>Bomberman. |

Okey doke, I was waiting for someone to say what nintendo character they'd be. Any is fine, hero, boss, monster something preffebly from a 16-bit or lower game.. There's two "colours" from my favorite game: chess. Players with the most white creatures before the game starts (count) go first always, there's six creature types, and though I cannot do all of them justice I will try to get that chess feel into the playing cards. Wether you want to be white or black is up to you. Though in some examples I have seen in the past, both emulate a differant sortof authority. White I notice seems to be a collective mind to authority. The Agents, The Borg, all brought together through one sole purpose and will do any means nesscarey to acheive thier ends, this makes them strong in the sense that there is no thoughts to sway the agenda, this also means when one is a failure, they all are failures. In general thier numbers also compensate for thier sheer physichal strength. Meaning less power, but more of it. Black seems to be better represented by the impirealism of Star Wars. Taking each individual for thier own skills and usefulness, everyone is good at something, and they use thier indiduality to keep the opponent guessing. But this tends to slow down black armies in the long run because they are scatter brained and have differant ideas. |

Working out the kinks, right now working on the blue print set in my folder. Here's the skinny.. There's seven creature types, the six chess peices and "legends". Legends are not people like you and me, but dieties like those found in aincent text. Only one legend of that name can be in play at a given time, when a newer legend of the same name comes into play discard the older one. It's alot like Magic: The Gathering, exsept for subtile differances.. Mana: Only two mana sources, white and black. Because of this all things, creatures, equipment cards, everything either has black or white mana cost. There is no longer a "colourless". Power/Toughness: 2 stat boxes. One on the left and one on the right. The one on the left represents how powerful you are when summoned to the field, the right is the results. Think of the left box as your life expiriences and the right as where you stand now. Most creatures use dice to determine thier power/toughness rating for instance. Guy. X (If the X would either be in a white or black circle.) Summon Guy. 1d4/1d8 */* As you see up there that's what it will look like. Only a very few exseptions will not generate stats through dice, and the dice stat gos up to a d20. |
