    Publisher: Nintendo
    Developer: Nintendo
    Genre: Puzzle
    ESRB: Everyone

WarioWare Twisted! is the third WarioWare game on a handheld, with one on the GC. The first WarioWare game this year, WarioWare Touched!, revolutionized the series with touch screen control. Twisted revolutionizes it again with a gyro sensor built-in the cartridge. You will still use the A button from time to time, but you mostly just shake your GBA back and forth. Don’t play this one in public or people passing by may think you’re insane.

Twisted has a story mode, even though the story makes no sense. This is one of the few things wrong with the game. Nintendo should really try to throw in more of a story that ties in the storylines instead of the characters having random things happen to them.

By playing the story mode, you'll unlock souvenirs, various toys to play with, which there are a whopping 130 of. This alone will get you playing the game for a very long time. As you unlock minigames, they are added to the “Spindex”. Later on, after you play the story mode, you can go to the Spindex and play your favorite ones over and over again.

There are 10 - 15 stages in Twisted's story mode. Each stage revolves around a certain characer or two who has something happen to them. At the end of each character's part of the story, which usually lasts for twelve minigames, there's a boss stage. The boss stages are longer than the normal minigames, but none of them offer a lot of challenge.

Some of the most fun games are 9-Volt’s which consist of Nintendo classics remade for use with the gyro sensor. This includes tilting your GBA to the left to have Samus, in morph ball form, roll to a missile expansion. The boss stage of 9-Volt consists of a remade version of World 1-1 from the original Super Mario Bros.

Even though the main thing you do is spin the GBA around in almost all the games, the ways you’ll use this in the minigames differs so much that it won’t ever seem the same. The gyro sensor makes this new WarioWare game feel completely fresh and it doesn’t feel as if the series is getting overused at all. As long as Nintendo keeps innovating the gameplay of WarioWare games like this, the series will never get old.

    Graphics

Twisted is not one of those games that is praised over it’s graphical achievements. The graphics style is never complex, but it is one of the most unique styles to ever hit a handheld. Almost every minigame has it’s own kind of graphics. Some minigames are hand drawn while others have 2D graphics like games on the NES and SNES. While not complex, the graphics definitely fit the wacky nature of Twisted.

I really would of liked to see a bit more of a difference in the graphics in some places. A few 3Dish type minigames would have been really cool.

    Sound

The sound effects in Twisted are done great. One souvenir where you play a piano sounds like a real piano.

During parts of the story, the music consists of wacky little chimes and tunes. In the minigames, the same music style is used. One difference is when the word "Faster!" appears, the music speeds up considerably. This creates a frantic atmosphere that says “hurry up!” as the clock ticks down.

    Value

Not only does Twisted consist of a couple hundred minigames, it also has 130 souvenirs. Unlocking all these souvenirs and minigames will take a very long time. It sounds like a daunting task, but with the gyro sensor adding so much more fun over just using buttons, it’ll be a blast.

Nintendo tied in the two tasks well. The requirement of unlocking most of the minigames in Twisted is to get high scores on each and every minigame. Actually, only about ten of the souvenirs are unlocked by just beating the story mode. This is bad for the few minigames that you might not like, but this is mostly a very fun experience.

    Scores

WarioWare Twisted is arguably the best game in the WarioWare series. It’s much, much better than the DS installment because there’s just a lot more to do in this one. If you can’t decide between Touched and Twisted, Twisted is definitely the way to go.

    Gameplay: 9.5
    Graphics: 8
    Sound: 9
    Value: 10

    Overall: 9.1

Great review! I'm thinking about getting this game myself. ;) :)

I also heard you unlock some secret stuff if you have Twisted and Touched in your DS at the same time...

    Thanks for the feeback! :)

And yes, you do unlock a secret souvenir after putting Touched! and Twisted! in at the same time. Orbulon's vehicle-thing pops up in Touched! and you just touch it as usual to get it. The souvenir is....

    ***SPOILER***

A music video about Mona Pizza. :P

That's BS. I wrote this damn review myself. Just because yours isn't as good as mine you don't have to come in and accuse me of plagiarism.
