![]() Immerse yourself in an amazing story filled with danger and unexpected twists. "This game is one in a million, it's one of the greatest RPGs to come out this generation and it's the best Tales game yet." Gaming-Media.com “Tales of Symphonia is most definitely something special. While it follows a traditional RPG format, the series has been very progressive, and made some nice innovations, while never abandoning the structure altogether. The main thing that sets the series apart is the slick presentation and art, the wonderful and deep battle system, and the clever level designs and puzzles.” Unknown Story Two worlds exist, unaware of each other. Mana, or life force, is shared by both worlds and while one world thrives, the other suffers. Lloyd Irving lives on Sylvarant, a dying world where nothing is as it seems - a fact he hasn't yet realized. With a strong set of justice, incredible bravery, and a particular loyalty to his friends, he joins them in a very important quest: a journey to save their world. Lloyd's close friend, Colette Brunel, is the Chosen One, destined to save the dying world as a descendant of the Mana bloodline. At the age of 16, the weight of the world hangs on her shoulders. Genis Sage, the village intellectual, is a talented magician with a personality to die - or kill - for. Most likely, you'll grow to love him. Together, they set on this dangerous journey together - to unlock the seals of the world and bring the balance back to their dying town on Sylvarant. The Game Tales of Symphonia is an awesome game, featuring many things that you wouldn't normally find in a RPG. A lot of work was put into the english version of this game. The main reason this game was very sought after is because of it's battle system. Most RPGs that have fights are usually "turn-based", but ToS is a different story. ToS has a unique "real-time" based battle system, which can be very fun, because the action can get quite fierce. The game can support more than one player, but only in battles will they get to play. Sometimes you will be presented with an opportunity to view a skit between the characters, where the characters talk with each other about their histories, personality traits, current events in the game, or just make fun of one another. Some of them are pretty funny, and provide a deeper understanding of the characters and their personalities. The music is great, especially during the battles. I would reccomend this game for any RPG fan. Pros -great battle system -impressive voice-overs -awesome cut-scenes -lots of side quests -over 80 hours of gameplay -an awesome soundtrack Cons -storyline can be sometimes confusing -the camera always focuses on the 1P, even in multiplayer -the quality of the cel-shading could have been better -not enough puzzles Should I get this game? I would get it if I were you. It is an awesome game, it is worth the $50. Ratings (out of ten) Graphics-9.0 Control-9.5 Sound-9.0 Overall-9.0 (These are my opinions) |
