Recently, I've been coming up with some ideas that could go along with what we had planned beforehand for our new evil leader. Listed below are some of the things we had come up with before:
- Name: Sarka Hathings
- Importance: Leader of new evil group
- Gender: Female
- Magical Ability: She is particularly good at wandless magic
Now, a few of the ideas we had come up with were pretty decent. There were suggestions such as having Sarka be the new owner of The Hogs Head in Hogsmeade so that she could have a closer look at all the goings-on at Hogwarts and that there was some big thing that this group was looking for that led them to steal McGonagall.
The past few days, I came up with this idea and I want you all to let me know what you think about it: Sarka, as well as many other death eaters, were captured and taken to Azkaban once Voldemort was vanquished. But, because she is so skilled in wandless magic, she is able to use a spell that switches her soul with that of random wizard so that she is completely disguised, but is still the same person and has all of the same abilities that she did in her true body. When the spell is successful, she finds a hide away that she and her new followers will be able to use once she manages to switch their bodies out with random wizards. Wizards begin to go missing every few days or so and people think they are somehow connected, but don't know how so because none of the people kidnapped had any connection to each other. Sarka manages to get enough bodies to switch their souls with enough of the death eaters to be able to consider themselves a threat to the wizarding world. She has brought them all back from Azkaban so that they may find these items that, when brought together, help them create or find something of great value that could be used to destroy a large portion of the world. Going along with this, I feel like McGonagall and a few other teachers or perhaps even students at the school should get kidnapped so that they have some high profile wizards and witches that they could be "holding for ransom" and they could switch their souls with death eaters or just evil wizards and witches in general. That way the school gets involved and the students could be conflicted with wanting to fight these people because they have the bodies of their friends but it really isn't them.
What do you all think about that?

I love it! I think that there should be something of interest, like the item or whatever, in the school, or something to do with the school in general. It would keep everyone involved even after the drama of the "body snatching" had passed. And by the way, I think the whole soul-switching thing is genius.

Why thank you :] I thought it up while I was talking to KK on Friday during Creative Writing.
Now we just need to figure out what the items would be and what they would create or do when brought together.

So let me get this right-- She can SWITCH bodies with other people, which is different than just overshadowing them and controlling their bodies. She puts her soul into them, and their soul gets sucked into her, so that innocent people are stuck in Azkaban--right?
Well, in that case, are we going to have the kids go after McGonigals captors? Or is she going to show back up, but actually be a death eater inside her body? (Or is that only random professors?)

I like this plot line. Perhaps the item could be something that Voldemort or some other dark wizard stashed in the Room of Requirement long ago that Sarka has learned about. I don't know. It's sounds really amazing, though, so my compliments to your creative genius! :D

I think she may show back up and be a death eater in disguise who is trying to get to the object, which could be in the Room of Requirements :] I like that idea.

She could come back AS McGonigal. That way no one will be, like, searching for her. And the "media" won't get ahold of it so it'll be up to the students who realize what's going on to kind of fight her and her evil plan.

I don't know if nobody would notice...I mean, does McGonigal have any super close friends? 'Cause if she did, then I think that the friend would notice. Plus, Sarka has no idea about McGonigal's daily schedule, and if she did something funky, people would notice something is up. However, she is the headmaster and could get away with some stuff...

Well she wouldnt really need close friends in order for the change to be noticed. It could be notciable in the way she deals with things, the changes she could possibly make to the school, and the students.

Yeah, and the way that she handles punishments for students and stuff like that. I think it'd be cool if she did switch with McGonagall after she kidnaps her and then the teachers think that something's going on and the students over hear or something like that.

*sniff sniff* Is that a plot I smell cooking in here? Seems like we've got a lot of delicious ingredients laid out before us. Now all we need to do is choose which ones we really want to use and put them together. In other words, we need to re-summarize the plot with all the key additions included.
Kylee, the honor is yours for this one.

Smells like dirt and coffee... hmmm...
Hey, I was wondering, will all the "switched" students be gone from Hogwarts when they get switched? I was thinking it would be difficult for Sarka and her crew to get onto Hogwarts grounds undetected. So is it when they return from break that their friends start noticing the change?

I think it would have to start with one student coming in the grounds already switched, this student would befriend some others and slowly the changes would occure
Like, a student or something comes back from break but has already been switched so now one would notice right away...

woah, woah, woah.. we can't have all the students that went home for Christmas vacation to come back switched. That'd be half the school--possibly more, with how vacant we've made the school seem. How are we going to choose which kids actually do get switched? (Because I know we had a list of characters that were voluntarily submitted to be "Soul Switchees", but what do all those characters have in common..?)
Maybe... well, we've made most of our characters stay at Hogwarts over Christmas vacation, right? So let's just deal with them for now. They're on school grounds, and Sarka can't touch them unless they leave the grounds... so maybe we could make a trip to Hogsmead? The kids that are stuck in the school building could be all restless or something and ask McGonigall to take them to Hogsmead...but all the kids/teachers that go on that trip get switched? And all the kids/teachers that stayed on school grounds remain the same?
