my dad had surgery today. the hospital decided that 5:30am was a good time to have people show up to get cut into, so i got up at 3am to get to my parents house and to the hospital on time. we had 2 hours of pre-op, 2 hours of surgery, 2 hours of post-op, and about 6 hours of the medical staff trying to decide whether or not dad needed to stay overnight. all in all we were there for ~13 hours. they finally decided to keep him overnight and then for various reasons changed their minds about 5 minutes after the rest of us had gone home. so we had to go back to the hospital (i had stopped to eat and the waitress was in the act of setting my food down when my phone rang) where we found that dad was very upset and the nurses were more than ready to get him out of there. through all of this mom was barely able to function and 13 hours of having her ask the same questions over and over again was not a pleasant experience. i almost felt like i would have preferred to be the one on the table. well that's what i do for fun how about you? |

I'm mostly just working. Go to work, work, come home, play some video games, exercise watch some tv sleep go to work, etc. Pollen count is over 9000 so everything is yellow and everyone is suffering. |
