we've all been there. those weird real life happenings that feel like they belong on The X-Files, The Twilight Zone, The Outer Limits, etc. unexplained weirdness that creeps you out. share them here. ![]() my latest: a couple nights ago i watched some old episode of Criminal Minds (fairly good show by the way). the story revolved around a series of bank robberies. the banks were full of people, and i found myself thinking how that always seems to be the case when you see banks in tv shows or movies, they are hustling and bustling. but that isn't what really happens in my experience. i've been going to the same branch of my bank (their main office) for about 7 years now. and it is never busy. i can't remember ever seeing more than 1-2 other customers there, and often i am the only one. they have 3 windows so i have never had to wait for more than 1 person to get to a teller. never really thought about it much but it's nice not to have to wait. now for the weirdness. today i picked up my check and took it to the bank. before i even went in i noticed there seemed to be more cars than usual in the lot. i went in and there were people at each window and someone else in line ahead of me. and while i was waiting 2 more people came in and got in line behind me. there were 6-7 customers there at the same time - like 3 times normal. that was odd enough, but then i remembered that i had been thinking about how the bank was always slow only a couple days ago. 7 years and i'd never seen a line like that and then boom i think about it following a random tv show and there are all these people. weird! |

Now what would have been REALLY good is if there was a robbery that day too! Or maybe not, but you know what I mean! |

ok, this one also requires some backstory: my parents and i have been going to this local pizza joint almost every week for like 12 years now. tho recently for various reasons we have been scaling back on that a bit. and i go in by myself from time to time cuz the food is good and they usually have at least one cute waitress there. now my dad was just in the hospital for a few days and we visited him just about every day while he was there, thus becoming familiar with some of the other patients who were there during that time. there were only a handful of patients on that floor, maybe half a dozen or so. anyway, Dad was discharged yesterday and last night i decided to go to Monical's (the pizza joint) for dinner. so i go in and sit down, and there at the next table with his family was one of the patients that had been on my dad's floor! and the place was not busy nor is it very close to the hospital. how weird is that?! on top of that, one night while we were visiting Dad a girl i took to be this kid's sister had brought a pizza in with her. i didn't see where it was from, but i bet it was from Monical's! freaky, man! just freaky! LOL, I guess being in a big city that would seem weird. Stuff like that happens where we live all the time. I sometimes see the same person at 2 or more of my errand stops. Then we'll end up being in checkout together and sometimes strike up a conversation. Hell I know everybody!!

this is not a big city. but it's big enough that to see one of 6 or so people from the hospital the same day as one of 6 or so people at Monical's is pretty damn weird. i'd never seen any of the people there before and i would not be surprised if i never saw any of them again. to see one the same day is just weird. oh well. wish his sister had been there. she was cute.

Haha, love weird coincidences. We were out shopping in the city centre a couple of weeks ago and I saw a couple and their toddler, I noticed them because the woman was very striking and I was admiring her dress. Fast forward a few hours and we were at a supermarket way outside the city centre, queueing at the checkout when I realised the same family were in front of us in the queue! Oddness. |

heh something like that just happened to me today. was out at the mall to buy some clothes etc, when i was leaving the woman ahead of me held the door for me. then i drove to the grocery store near my apartment, which is several miles from the mall. i parked and was walking up to the store when i saw the same woman going into the same store (this time i held the door for her ). freaky! |
