Dw i ddim y hoffi Gwefan cyfieithun hwn - http://www.translation-guide.com/free_online_translators.php?from=English&to=Welsh

Thanks hun :)

Just about 8 months now, woop! I am cautiously optimistic that baby will be born in the next few weeks. Technically I have 5 weeks til my DD, and if you go overdue they'll leave you for up to 2 weeks, but I am slowly getting signs that things are happening and I'm positive it will be sooner than 5 weeks!

I may eat my words next month, though

If I disappear for a bit, assume that something has happened, but I will try to get on and let you know we're OK. If any of you lot would embrace the modern world and get on Facebook, you'd find out sooner :p

various things happen towards the end of the term, baby goes head down, the exit ramp will widen out at some point, you may have 'false' contractions etc. still you prolly won't go more than maybe a week early. you don't want to take the cookies out before they are done anyway, heh.

have you got Preacher trained to get to you from anywhere in less than 2 minutes when the alarm goes out? you should have him doing wind sprints to get ready. :D

figured you would disappear for awhile at some point. no worries, just take care of yourself and baby and we'll see you when you get back.

and yeah, Facebook is evil so no. :fear:

I bet you'll be glad when the baby is finally here. And those 5 weeks will be here before you know it I'm thinking.

So is Preacher going to be your birthing coach?

T-2 weeks, can't wait now, for many reasons - one being I have permanent stitch type feeling in my left side thanks to feet being shoved under my ribs. Keep hoping my waters are going to break in a wonderfully dramatic manner, but nothing yet. Various pains, but all very gradual and not progressing, so unlikely it's happening yet. Bah!

just how dramatic do you want? something like: you are visiting London and riding on the top level of one of those famous red buses and SPLASH! "Hello. HELLO! STOP THE BUS! SARAH NEEDS TO SEE HER DOCTOR!!!!"

Just in case you've lost your marbles and are thinking about a "natural childbirth" without painkillers let me just advise you to rethink that idea.

Good luck in the coming days and dont forget to get Preach to film the whole thing so we can all share in your joy. :P

Good luck with that. I remember when my daughter was being born and my wife was having contractions. She was lying there moaning and groaning (and thats not even the delivery phase) when in walked Dr. Happy. He had her roll onto her side and gave her a shot in the spine and not five minutes later she remarks; "Ah, well thats not so bad now.", LOL.

Just FYI, the Wiki article on TENS has this little blurb at the bottom:

Quote:

A significant number of TENS machine brands have been targeted for use for labour pain, although a 1997 report of a study done by the University of Oxford said that TENS "has been shown not to be effective in postoperative and labour pain."[21]

:erm:

It's more of a distraction than a pain killer as contractions get more intense I think. I am determined not to have an epidural at the very least, ugh.
