9. A few political forums. A horse-talk forum, and 2 jewelry making sites.

10. Most likely the horse ride, but I'd probably just as quickly join the hike. I wouldn't do the bicycle ride, and definitely not the canoe trip. Big bodies of water scare me.

15. Oh man.... horseback riding, hiking, gardening, housekeeping. Lately swimming in the creek. I keep telling myself that this winter I'll start up my yoga program again. Will power.... gotta find it... :o

16. Well, we've talked about heading down to Arizona to see Ace's dad. All depends on when he can get time off and if we can afford it of course. Next year I want to go to Ohio and Kentucky for the big family reunion.

9. Bounty's pregnancy/baby forums

10. If I had the energy, I would go for:
c.)Hike a remote trail to a scenic location

More realistically, I would do:
d.)Drive the family car to various sight seeing locations.

Which is what I usually do on holiday.

15. My job

16. Hoping to get away to a cheap caravan park holiday in October, up in North Wales. No frills, but a little pre-baby break. Next proper holiday, goodness knows.

Okay, I'll take advantage of my computer behaving for the moment and post the next 4 questions. And, since I goofed with the numbering last time, I'll correct it by adding 9 & 10, then jump up to 15 & 16. Just so ya all ain't confused.

9. Besides this place, what other forum do you frequent?

10. If you had the opportunity to do one of the following all day long activities, which do you think you’d most likely choose?(might be your opportunity to try something totally different!)
a.)Join a trail ride on horseback through the wilderness.
b.)Bicycle with a group on back country roads.
c.)Hike a remote trail to a scenic location.
d.)Drive the family car to various sight seeing locations.
e.)Canoe along some long deep waterway.

15. What do you do for exercise?

16. For your next vacation what do you plan to do?
9. Something Awful. Occasionally check Obsidian to see if they've patched Aloha Protocol yet. :\
Also occasionally check Bioware to see what's happening with DA2 or ME3.

10. Driving.

15. Monday night I play indoor netball. Tuesday night I play mixed social basketball. Saturday I play soccer. (Although soccer season's over soon.) I also have a kind of 'workout routine' in place every night. That alternates between sit-ups and push-ups. For example, tonight is push-up night, so before I shower and go to bed, I will do one set of as many push-ups as I can. Last night I did one set of as many sit-ups as I could.

16. Visit my friends and family back in Radelaide for Christmas.

My personal experience is that forums that have political talk + other areas tends to have arguments about politics spill over into the other areas.

I have no problem with political discussion on political boards...here I got a feeling that even though we've known each other for a decade now (well some of us), I think we'd still be at each others throats if we talked politics.

:yikes:

i dunno, IPLY had YOP and i don't remember having stuff from there causing probs on the IWD2 boards (which is where i spent 90% of my time). what i do remember is that the thing was a real nightmare for Tarna to moderate. i also remember that i had a hand in getting that section of the boards closed down. :fear:

either way, there aren't really enough of us here to have any big honkin' political debates. we'd have to settle for little honkin' ones. ;)

i included that forum mainly for current events, put the two together and it's something along the line of a Civics forum. wasn't really expecting or desiring alot of political talk or debate.

that said, i think i will pop over and take my Political Stance of the Day. ;)

by the way, Gina.... a horse-talk forum? is that where Mr Ed hangs out or what? ;)

And it could put a wedge in some friendships. I don't know about you guys, but when I come here it is relaxing. I don't feel any tension... although I wish we had more members that participated.

A lot of arguments on the other board were polarized by people who didn't like one anothers political stance.

If you think Elven Bard is the best class AND you're a republican, and this other guy thinks Human Ranger is the best AND he's a Democrat, the fights have a much greater likelihood to be more venomous, in my experience.

Party system in IE is okay; I didn't feel the party commands were all that functional though.

I kinda wish the limit had been 8 not 6 though, for some reason.

i've heard others say something along those lines. i dunno tho, there had to be some limit for gameplay and engine considerations, and the more members you have the more you have to micromanage during big fights. the scripts only work well for tanks and archers so you have to pretty much pause alot to handle your casters and rogue types. then there is the pathfinding that gets worse with more members, and leveling would prolly be too slow etc.

i have played games with bigger parties (Shining Force II allowed 12 and is a great game) but they were mostly turn-based type games. in real time, i don't think i would want more than 6.
