me turn! :)

A) what event in your own life or in the world do you have the clearest and most lasting memory of?

B] do you have any phobias? what are they?

C) will we find clear proof of life on other worlds in your lifetime? or in humanity's lifetime? or do you think we are alone?

D) what's your favorite kind of cookie?
A) Nothing springs readily to mind.

B) Not wild on heights, although it seems very subjective and influenced by a wide variety of factors (not just height) as to how unnerved I will be. Also not wild about being near drunk people.

C) No, we're it, we're the only ones God made.

D) Yeah, homemade chocolate chip cookies. (Using oatmeal cookie recipe and throwing chocolate chips in. And then just eating the dough.)

A) The birth of my daughter.

B] Im afraid of heights. Not high heights like in an airplane, medium hights like going on my roof to hang Christmas lights. Terrifying.

C) "Life" = any life form, like bacteria? Yes. "Life" = intelligent life? Not in my lifetime. IMO, there is intelligent life out there.

D) Chocolate chip.

A) I dunno, I have a lot of random memories (some from when I was 3 or 4) that I've had for years but nothing terribly profound.

B) I'm afraid a bit of bees, although over the years I've managed to lessen that. I sometimes have a fear of heights (not helped by breaking my ankle in a fall).

C) I don't think we're alone, but I'm not sure there's intelligent life here on Earth... :P

D) Chocolate Chip followed by a good lemon cookie.

A.) Oh gee, this is difficult since so many things stand out for me and I know I'll always remember them. Things past and present that mean so much to me... and some things not so great. The moment I put one thing down another will pop into my head so I'll just leave it at that.

B.) Well, I'm also somewhat afraid of heights, although most of our mountain passes don't necessarily scare me. Stevens Pass does, right at the top, and only when we're returning home from the eastern side. Omg, that vast openness looks bottomless, especially when the clouds are below you.

C.) I certainly don't think we're alone. If we're the best the creator can come up with, well....

D.) My favorite is Peanut Butter squares. Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

And no, I don't know why you sometimes call me Elizabeth, and yes, you're still an onion.

A) I don't know :/ Most of my memories of even really significant things are fuzzy, especially having Lyra!

B ) Being on water makes me very nervous, even in really big boats. I'm terrified of drowning. Eyes gross me out massively, I can't stand seeing people put contacts in, or, God forbid, eye surgery on TV. I am also petrified of stinging insects like Wasps.

C) Certainly in humanity's lifetime...I'd like to think so anyway. I am sure we are not alone in the infinite sized universe.

D) White chocolate and macadamia nut. Mmmm.

23. If you could work any job you wanted to (without regard to salary - just the job itself) what would you do?

24. You meet yourself from the future, who says that they can tell you one thing about your future without creating a paradox but its up to you whether you want to hear or not. Do you find out what they have to say?

25. You have an opportunity to make good money working a job that would require you to spend a year at a research station in the south pole. Your immediate family (significant other, children/wards/etc) can come along. Would you do it?

26. Assuming that you had no attachments (ie significant others, children, etc), you meet up with an entity that has no physical presence but is mentally/spiritually exactly the kind of person you'd look for in a significant other. Would you pursue a relationship with this individual?

27. You find yourself falling from a great height; an imp freezes time and appears, offering to switch your place with that of your best friend at that very moment. While the fall could kill you, it could also just leave you injured and if you're really lucky you could walk away unscathed; additionally you have no idea what is currently happening to your best friend at that moment - it could be a far worse fate, it could better, or it could be incredibly awkward moment for you to appear in. Would you switch?
23. Photographer

24. Oooooh....no, I don't think so. The only things I'd want to ask would be things I would only want to hear certain answers to and would be devastated otherwise...

25. Hmm...I think I might, it'd be an interesting experience and with my nearest and dearest with me, it'd be ok so long as they are happy to come too!

26. Oh interesting. Sure, why not? We could end up on a documentary :p

27. Nope

17. The Discworld series. All of it.

Have you seen the adaptations of TCOM, Hogfather and Going Postal? They were rather good.

28. If you were a tree, what kind of tree would you be?

29. You find a portal to a fantasy world; you are mentally informed about any aspect of the world by the portal you want to know but should you use the portal it would be a one way trip. Assuming you have no attachments, what sort of fantasy world would tempt you to step through the portal?

THE ZOMBIE APOCALYPSE

30. Where is the better place to go in a Zombie Apocalypse - the city or the country?

31. Would you rather be mobile (not staying in one place) or would you rather find a fortification and buckle down?

32. Which would be your ideal place to spend time - the second floor of an apartment building (having cleared out the building and destroyed the stairs, but leaving a rope that can be raised/lowered), a country house or a 50s era bomb shelter?

33. Would you rather have a pistol or a machete?

34. If one of your companions are bitten by a zombie do you...
a. Leave them to become a zombie
b. Kill them so they can die a human
c. bring them back to your hideout to try and work on a cure
d. just not tell anyone and act surprised when they turn into a zombie and go on a killing spree
e. other (please explain)

28. Oak

29. I dunno, something fun though - to offset the danger inherent in fantasy stuff. Like not sure I'd jump into a D&D world (avoid Ravenloft like the plague) etc.

30. Short term city might be easier to get food; long term you're eventually going to have to get out of the city

31. Depends on the fortification; properly done it could be possible to hold off zombies indefinately, but I'd keep moving until the ideal spot is found.

32. The second floor apartment would work (since traditionally zombies aren't climbers)

33. both. The problem with guns is your stuffed if it jams or you're out of ammo.

34. I'm not sure I could kill the poor slob; probably leave them with a gun and let them do it themselves.

Hmmm, looking over the questions, I must have been in a morbid mood this morning... :fear:

28. If I were a...? I don't even know what criteria to begin to answer this on. I'll say weeping willow because I think they are a cool tree.

29. That's a big assumption that I'm unable to make, but for the purposes of suspension of disbelief, I want spaceships, and lots of them. Oh wait, just saw Bloggyelf's post and yes, everyone in this fantasy world must have a Scottish accent.

30. Would probably actually be the city here, basically because in the country you'd die of thirst pretty quickly.

31. Reckon going mobile, that way you can get extra supplies.

32. Apartment building.

33. A pistol, because let's face it, you can probably find other melee weapons around anyway.

34. OTHER. It's difficult to be certain how zombieness spreads in this hypothetical apocalypse; while traditionally in movies it is indeed by bite, that may not necessarily be the case in this situation. So, wait and see what happens.

Oh boy, these are different!

28. Hmm, I suppose I'd be one of those lovely ornamental Japanese maples that are so well loved and tended.

29. I guess a world of beauty and grace kind of like Rivendell without threat of orcs and Sauron. Beautiful horses to ride all day. Just hope I don't get bored.

30. I don't know much about zombies except I hate them. Country I suppose.

31. Mobile.

32. Country house.

33. Pistol... but preferably a whole arsenal.

34. Oh gee, I really don't know.
