Tonight in Seattle a group of our friends are going to see Children of Bodom for the 2nd year in a row. Again we were invited, but we don't really care for the music, even though, because of our friends, we have pictures of the band here and there around the house, even on our computers. LOL, we are weird.

Have any of you, or would you go see them if they came to a town near you?

P.S. This is how weird I am... I will probably attend the zombie ball again this year, where exactly the same kind of music will be playing.

never heard of that group and i'm not much of a concert-goer. the ones i have been to that i can remember:

Steve Miller Band

Dire Straits

Def Leppard

Hootie and the Blowfish

MC Hammer

i think i am forgetting a couple. i had tickets for and did not go to Huey Lewis and the News (was very sick) and Tori Amos (couldn't find anyone to go with). especially regret not seeing Tori, she was known to be an amazing live performer.

not sure what a zombie ball is, but zombies are cool. and there's no way you are as weird as i am. ;)

Heart does concerts in Seattle and I've always wanted to go see them. It's their hometown. Maybe one of these days.

Also I'd love to see the Roxettes, Blondie... I wanted to see Led Zeppelin. I would've went in a heartbeat when they played at the Royal Albert in London if I was rich enough.

What's that got to do with their music? It is still classic.

it is, but i suspect they are likely losing some vocal talent with age. i know Debbie Harry sure did.

Gee I guess I missed this post. Sorry bloggy!

Some people sound better as they get older and others don't. I thought that Justin Hayward sang a lot better later in life than he did in the bands early years. I don't about now though, he could suck.

We watched a performance on pbs a couple years back from Ann and Nancy and imo they both rocked.

Never heard of them Gina, but not everything comes over the pond...I haven't been to a concert since 2002!!! Although I have been to see various stand up acts over the last couple of years, and I am dying to see Foo Fighters and The Killers live <3

In the past I have seen Manic Street Preachers (1997, 1998 or 9 and 2002), Radiohead (1997), Prodigy (1998 I think) and Sterophonics (1999). Also saw some random support acts for the above, some of whom I forget, but The Boo Radleys and The Delays were good. Saw a few crappy pop acts miming at Radio 1 Roadshows in the 90s too, including Chumbawumba!

You're probably right. I thought it seemed a wee bit shocking that she didn't know of Heart.
