Posting and Uploading a Picture By: Steve2136 ▪ Step 1 ▪ Hit the print screen button on your key bored. It should be beside F12. ![]() ▪ Step 2 ▪ Crop your image. To do this, open up paint (Start » All programs » Accessories » Paint) and go to Edit » Paste or Control + v. My example is smaller and already cropped, but lets say I wanted to get a picture of me. Use the tool outlined in blue to get the area, the click copy. The press Edit » Paste or Control + v. If you want the part in the red as your image, move it up to the top where the arrows are. Make sure to move the small squares up to it also. Click Save and then save it as a .png ![]() ▪ Step 3 ▪ Now you must save an upload your picture. Assuming you had no trouble saving it, you should go to http://imageshack.us/. Click browse and then click on your file. Then click OK and Upload. ![]() ▪ Step 4 ▪ After it's done uploading, you should copy the code for Direct link to image. Take that code and add image tags to it. Past that code into a post and it should be an image! Image tags:
You can also use a print screen program, like Gadwin Print Screen [dohtml]<a id="t"></a>[/dohtml] Making An Image Transparent Making an image transparent will make the background behind it clear. Here are some examples: ![]() ![]() ▪ Step 1 ▪ Get Gimp and go to File » New. Put in the size of the image you wish to make transparent (you can find this out by pasting it into paint first, then going to properties). Now open up paint and past the image you want to make transparent. Make everything you want transparent a bright colour like green. Copy that and then paste it into Gimp. ▪ Step 2 ▪ Press Z or click the wand. Right click on the image and go to Layer » Transparency » Add Alpha Channel. Then click on the green and move it off the image. ![]() ▪ Step 3 ▪ Save the image and as a .gif file. A screen will pop up, click Export and then OK. Upload the image and then you have a transparent image!
