I was just reading the ToE page, and it says that ToE was renamed as ToD2 to make a connection to ToD. This is not the reason why ToE was renamed as ToD2. The reason behind it's renaming is because the name Eternia was copyrighted by Mattel at the time, as part of the line of He-man toys. Releasing ToE in the US under that name would have caused a copyright infringement. Just thought I'd post this. :o |
