Against a fox do you have any tricks or advice for getting hit by as few lasers as possible? Maybe something with your jumping pattern or something? When you're trying to corner a fox what does he have any escape routes that are really hard to cover as kirby. I know this is dependent on what the kirby does so don't be afraid to elaborate please... when you are recovering against a fox whats the scariest thing he can do to edgegaurd you. Does he have any gaurenteed edgegaurds? please go into great depth on fox edgeguarding kirby. do you know what percents characters like fox can asdi up on kirby's tap reset and stand strait up and potentially punish kirby? Do you have any other insight on the kirby/ fox matchup you'd like to share?? Just wondering cuz Ive been working on my kirby lately and I know theres a lot of foxes out there and its a rough matchup that I want to get down 100% |

"Against a fox do you have any tricks or advice for getting hit by as few lasers as possible? Maybe something with your jumping pattern or something?" Nope, I try not to worry about them too much. Some characters may try to get up on platforms and approach that way, but Kirby is too slow in the air and should really stay on the ground to avoid unsafe situations. If you're really patient duck until the fire has cleared. If they don't let up, learn to powershield lol. "When you're trying to corner a fox what does he have any escape routes that are really hard to cover as kirby. I know this is dependent on what the kirby does so don't be afraid to elaborate please..." This is pretty much a guessing game. I suppose it could to learn your opponents habits and learn from them. If there are platforms, it gives fox a great amount of options to escape. With foxes speed it's incredibly hard to punish him in the corner. I usually try to fair at a cornered fox since it has four hits and can catch a fox off guard. This really depends on mindgames and habits. "when you are recovering against a fox whats the scariest thing he can do to edgegaurd you. Does he have any gaurenteed edgegaurds? please go into great depth on fox edgeguarding kirby." What I fear off stage is fox's shine. Kirby only has a couple of moves that prevent fox from just jumping out and shining him. Another scary thing is foxes that ledge hop alot so they are basically invincible the whole time waiting to hit you. If I'm recovering from below fox, I should never recovery. Even if I'm a teching fiend I should never recover from below against fox. Shine should beat everything basically. Kirby should recover just above ledge level to have the best chances of surviving. "do you know what percents characters like fox can asdi up on kirby's tap reset and stand strait up and potentially punish kirby?" I have no clue how this stuff even works, I just try to abuse it. Sorry... "Do you have any other insight on the kirby/ fox matchup you'd like to share??" Fox should always win. Foxes get careless and they lose. If a fox camps and bairs all day, Kirby can't do much about it. Fox just moves too fast for him. The only thing that saves Kirby are quick gimps and opponents' lack of Kirby knowledge. Good luck on your Kirby Ocho ![]() "Hmm...What is 1 thing you would change about Kirby?" One thing hmmm... Honestly all I would ever want is for him to be a little heavier. If I could stay alive just a little bit longer, it would probably help more than people think. |

Is there certain characters you prefer to use forward air against as opposed to back air and vise versa? Or are you just constantly mixing them in equally? |

At first I was thinking I just mixed them up, but I found I actually use each one for certain situations. If I'm using bair, it's usually for 1 of 2 situations, set up a wall/camp or edgeguarding. Fair I tend to use in more aggressive situations, like when I'm trying to knock a cornered fox offstage for that quick gimp. When someone is on a platform I'll sometimes jump up and fair instead because they may be thrown off by the 3 hits or 4 if I land on the platform. Also, I tend to find that fair seems to combo floaties decently at low percents, so I'll approach with it then. If I were to sum it up simply, I would say that I use fair to get people offstage and then use bair to edgeguard and put up a wall. |

Hmmm.... Falco's lasers. Can't really think of anything that cool about them right now. I usually just try to short hop double laser with them obviously. This usually gives Falco's trouble because they usually try to retaliate at first with shooting back, which doesn't work that well for them. Some try to shine the lasers back. This doesn't really work for Falco either cause the Kirby can space it so the bounced back lasers will go either under him or above him if he knows what he is doing, so he can continue the shdls. Laser can be fun for ledgeguard shenanigans. Double laser to dtilt at the edge of a stage on falco is pretty much instant death if they already used their second jump. You can also just fall and shoot lasers if you're on the same plane as Falco and most Falco's won't jump out of it in time to recover. See Link ---> http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u0wZxWPBuRs Some things I practiced this last summer (I had no one to play) was laser resets on falco. There possible but even if the situation presents itself I haven't trained myself to react. A simple thing as shbair and then reset if they don't tech I'm pretty sure is possible, but it's hard to do. A more practical one I messed with is utilting the falco onto a platform and if they don't tech it fullhop laser to reset them and then just uair them from underneath. Like I said though, these are hard to do mid match. Fun fact though, ledgecanceled bair to laser can combo lol. As for Tempest's comment, I'll just quickly go through the characters one by one: Fox - I've thought about camping with laser if I got a stock lead, but using his lasers turns out to be too distracting and I forget what I'm suppose to be doing... Don't copy Falco - Discussed above, Copy is highly recommended. Jigglypuff - Pretty useless, the only thing I ever used it for was punishing missed rests, but Kirby punish rest just fine without it with his hammer. Don't copy Sheik - Ok power, needle to grab doesn't really work for kirby like it does for sheik though :(, good for some extra damage and maybe edgeguarding, I usually take it if I have the chance Marth - Useless, If it actually broke shields like the brawl version i'd maybe consider. Not to mention it's tiny. don't copy. Peach - Useless, could be used to stall offstage I suppose. Hmm I do have trouble with peach, maybe I should experiment lmao Captain Falcon - Truly the manliest ability you can take, if you're feeling manly (cocky), take it Ice Climbers - Kinda useless since you can only shoot one ice block while they can shoot two..... Bad trade I would say Samus - Always take, A nice charge shot is always nice to scare Samus with. You'd be surprised at how even uncharged shots can help a bad character like Kirby. Ganondorf - If you land this, you must have broken their shield, or your opponent is just that obvious at recovering.... Dr. Mario - Nice to have since you get raped up close against doc. Take it and camp! Mario - Take it, but make sure to jump and shoot, since Kirby is so low to the ground so they just pitifully roll and die right away. Same as Doc Pika - Ok power, just use your jumps and camp. DK - I would always take this. I don't have too much experience since Fumps quit DK a long time ago, but I'm pretty sure utilt to punch works. Luigi - Ok I guess, but worse than the marios Link - If they didn't go straight down uncharged I'd consider, probably best not to take it since they aren't even good for edgeguarding usually. Zelda - This move still confuses me, it has weird hit boxes or something? Still pretty useless, could use it to stall in air like peach's and throw off opponent's timing. Mewtwo - Take it, no questions here. Mewtwo is light, use a fully charged on to try and kill him early. Roy - Tiny and useless Young link - same as link, but obviously better because it's on fire! Game & Watch - Maybe ok for edgeguarding if they don't sweetspot? More for taunting the opponent in my opinion. But the Kirby skin is top tier. Yoshi - Kirby's regular grab is probably as long as this tongue.... Nice you can use it in the air though. If this was 2005 I'd say gimp them with itPichu - .... yay! Now I can damage myself just like Pichu can! Jokes aside you could probalby use this as an approaching tool since 1% probably wouldn't kill you in this matchup. Bowser - I think this rapes them if they are really bad at DIing... lol It can be good for edgeguarind though, since for it's hard for bowser to sweetspot the ledge and not get hit by it. Ness - pretty useless, only use if they are struggling to recover. Kirby - You guys don't even know! That's a quick summary! |

1) Look for high ceilings. 2) Look at opponent's weaknesses. Then pick stage. |

Nice you can use it in the air though. If this was 2005 I'd say gimp them with it
